Buzzy restaurant with interesting food to share

Went for dinner; 7 of us in total. Ordered a large varierty of starters which are for sharing; all very good indeed and then we each had our own main courses. Its a buzzy place with good atmosphere. We sat out back in the open, nder cover, as less noisy but just as busy. One of those LA restaurants... read more

My friends and I were delighted to see the chef picking fresh herbs from the windowbox gardens surround the outside of the restaurant. Shaped like a farmhouse, we sat in the back section that has an open-air roof (retractable, to filter out light and heat and let in the cooler breeze and starry sky of the evening. The floors were... Brought here by a relative who lives in LA and was a repeat customer. Initially surprised to find a somewhat shabby and badly maintained building - the restrooms in particular were seriously in need of renovation. Bar prices high (some of the wine list prices are just plain silly - hopefully the quality is high too), but maybe that reflects... More

This is a great brunch spot! It's totally adorable with a rustic but trendy feel and is much bigger than it appears from the street. Eveleigh Lemonade (has chamomile infused tequila) - yes please! If there are 3+ ppl interested in drinking this, I recommend getting a pitcher. It may look like a lot for 3 when it gets to... More

I've never had a bad meal on sunset before, but this place was just a disappointment. I can't remember ever having as bad as service as I did when I ate dinner here. He didn't listen to me and was very rude. I'm pretty easy going as well but he rubbed me the wrong way. The menu is very limited,... More

We had a nice table in the outdoor, enclosed, and eventually covered dining room with rustic, stylish decor. Service was good, drinks were good but pricey given the ice vs. liquid ratio. We shared some patatas bravas, which were outstanding and each ordered our own entree. Although it got very busy, we were not rushed and had an enjoyable evening.

although you book a table, the waiting line is huge. the food is great. the ambient is also really nice. if you book a table in advance, guess nothing can be wrong.

We spent hours having drinks at the front table after dining elsewhere. It was wonderful. Great service, reasonable prices, low-key and relaxed. The whole group liked it. We did not eat there but next time I am in town, I will definitely consider it.

Small portions mean that you need to order sides at extra cost, fine if you like to share but not if you don't. Steak was tough though a palatable substitution was offered. Seating uncomfortable and squashed. Altogether not a memorable experience-wouldn't return.

Good spot for drinks. Food.... TBH not that great. Very basic and not great value. Menu description is elaborate but food does not live up to this. Shame really as most people give it a review of 4* which is very generous.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
