Wow

Excelent choice if you would like to see shiny west Hollywood and what it's in this city all about. I had sushi at the bar and observed how sushi Chefs prepared meals. And ... Plates were gorgeous, pricy though. Its very very easy to get to 170+$ for 2 persons without drinks. But guys, what I... read more

We arrived at Nobu straight from the airport, tired and buzzed from a coast to coast flight. And in no time at all, the calm and elegance of the restaurant made us forget the flight. And the fusion food--Japanese mingled with Latin American--is really a much better match than it may sound. Lobster, tuna, beef carpaccio, sushi....each was excellent. And... More

The first half hour was good, greeted and seated, great server who was warm, helpful and informative. Food was largely delicious especially the famous black cod, the shrimp tempura and cauliflower. Downside was the maniacal clearing of everything that was not nailed down and certainly not finished. We just stopped one busboy clearing an unfinished plate to find another attempting... More

We went Christmas Eve with our family. The service is outstanding, our waitress was very helpful (as we had never eaten there before) and intelligent. Everything was delicious…..especially the sea bass! The shrimp tempura, shrimp tacos, scallops….! We knew that it was very pricey but the only thing that we thought was ridiculously overpriced were the 6 tiny shrimp tacos... More

Visited with a group of people for a bit of indulgence. We said yes to the chef's choice menu and sat back, salivating. Dish after dish of fantastic foods were delivered to our table - we didn't catch all of the explanations of the fish plated before us, but they were all really good.

My wife and I were anticipating our visit and left completely disappointed. The place is dark; you need a flashlight to read the menu. The music is loud. And the food was a huge disappointment. We had sashimi with jalapeños and it was drowned in soy sauce. We had the tempura shrimp and rib eye and both were completely overseasoned.... More

Yes, the food is terrific, probably one of the best money can buy. But be ready to expand more than 300 dollars for two people - 2 bottles of regular sake included, to be fair - but even though... Look around you to find no celebrity - probably you are the most famous patron there.

Go and take time to explore the menu. Our waiter helped us navigate the menu and never led us astray! Had the peppers, yellowtail sashimi, rolls, drinks, chocolate pop and several other items in between. Everything was the best of the best. We even had a celebrity (top tier, trust me you would know him) sighting.

This place came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. From the mouth-melting appetizers to the final selection, each item was utterly delicious! The presentation was masterful but it was the taste which ruled. We sampled their trademark black cod dish and were sorely sorry when it had vanished. Also a huge fan of the Chilean sea bass! The green salad with... More

Want to feel like a celebrity minus the paparazzi? Book a dinner at Nobu. Lovely atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, beautiful dining rooms, really, really delicious food. This is not a diner, this is cuisine, folks, so don't complain about the price. We started with Edamame, the Baby Artichoke Salad and white Miso Soup, Scallops, Ribeye, and topped off with... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
