Awesome restaurant, great bolognese.

This restaurant is right in front of the hotel facing Sunset Blvd. You can go in the front or back from the parking lot. The owner is amazing and mostly the cook. I look forward to eating here, as it seems its always late and he will stay after and whip you up whatever italian dish of his you'd... read more

If you're looking for great Italian food in the heart of the Sunset strip, you need to check out Amarone! This was my second time dining here and the quality and service was consistent with my first visit. It feels like you're in a small Italian restaurant in the heart of Rome. Great authentic cuisine served in a quaint environment,... More

This little charming place is right around the corner from The London West Hollywood hotel. Luckily it wasn't too busy for a Friday evening and we had a table on the second level by the window. The food was delicious, the service was spot on and the owner made a successful wine recommendation. The pasta courses were not overly generous... More

We had dinner last night at this charming Italian restaurant. The service was genuine and responsive. The food was excellent. Some of the best Italian food we have eaten in Los Angeles. We enjoyed a great bottle of Prosecco - chilled just right. The carpaccios (both meat and fish were sliced and seasoned with just the right flavorings and the... More

The appetizer of scallops and mussels was small and had limited flavor. The entree, of rigatoni and sausage, was quite decent - but we were not overcome with epicurean delights. Having experienced many Italian restaurants, this struck us as mediocre. However, the ambiance was sweet and romantic and the service was up to par.

We live in Hollywood and decided to search outside our usual haunts for dinner tonight. What a wonderful surprise to find Amarone Kitchen & Wine! I am almost hesitant to recommend as I don't want my new special place discovered, thus making it difficult for me to get a reservation in the future ;). It is an unsuspecting location, but... More

Doesn't look much from the outside and the interior could be updated, BUT the food is fabulous and that's what this place is all about. Very nice attentive but not pushy staff. Best pasta I've had in a long while and I'll be trying to copy the salad I had. Will try and go back there before we go home

The best Italian food, ever, anywhere. Including Italy. The hosts treat you more like family. Very friendly. The best calamari, the finest fish, the most delicious fresh pasta. Everything from scratch. Great Italian wines. Dessert was memorable. A simple location, don't let that fool you. A hidden gem. Wish I was there now. Gracie.

We dined here 3 times on our recent trip, it was that good! Seriously! On our last night, the owner arranged a special degustation menu around white truffles! From casual dining to fine dining! Delicious!

This place is a hidden gem! We passed by a few times before we decided to give it a try. The owner runs the place and he is brilliant, very warm and friendly and very accommodating. We wanted to sit by one of the tables outside, but none were available so we got seated inside to begin with. As soon... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
