Conveniently located, home cooked meals. Breakfast was great and the service was excellent. In and out within 30 minutes.
We did not eat here so cannot comment on the food or service. I think the term restaurant is a bit flattering. There were only two men sitting at a single table, whereas the La Grange Cafe up the road in the center of town was full and more deserving of the title restaurant. Tables were plain formica topped and... More
This is a very nice but not fancy restaurant that is frequented by the locals. We had breakfast here and had the usual fare such as ham and eggs,... The food was good and plentiful. The service was lacking but there was a major rush of customers and the available staff did a good job.
This is a small town restaurant...not too big, not too small. The service is friendly and fast. We had breakfast here and we found it delicious. Along one side of the place is a row of windows and booths which one can look out and see the happenings along the main throughfare.
Not many choices between the coast and Redding, and this one seemed to be frequented by the locals. The locals' conversations were evidently meant for the entire restaurant, or they don't have inside voices in Weaverville. Waitress was quite proficient, food was bland, but not bad, prices were expected. Issue was with the cleanliness. Bathroom had no toilet paper, and... More
Breakfasted here on memorial Day 2013. Service was prompt and friendly, even folksy... Lots of "Sure hun"s and "You betchas" and clearly a place where all the locals know all the other locals. Food was well prepared and served promptly, choosing from among the usual staples of the Great American Breakfast. Prices were very fair and the location could not... More
A local favorite, The Nugget serves downhome food in decently large portions, and service is great. If you are into hearty homecooked fare, in a super casual atmosphere, and want to hang with the locals, this is the place to go.
We had a nice breakfast at this clean, friendly diner. Food is fresh and made to order. The restaurant is clean and they had a delicious French toast made with fresh thick slices of cinnamon bread.
The Nugget is not a pretentious restaurant that tries to cash in on Weaverville's Gold Rush history. It is simply a good diner with good food. I've eaten there a number of times and have always enjoyed it. There are other restaurants in Weaverville that are a bit more upscale and try to entice diners with the decor or history.... More
