Local favorite

This is a great place for local cuisine... Not fancy, but friendly, great value, and just plain good food with a mix of flavor and ingredients that represents the culture of this coastal farm town.

Paula and Jose are gracious hosts. They take quality ingredients and make your meal just like your grandma would make it. Big portions. Very clean restaurant.

Don't let the location fool you. Yes there is a weird budget hotel behind it, but you should come here if you like a local diner serving big plates at a price of very tasty food. Its gets busy early on weekends and stays packed til after lunch.

Great for breakfast, but you may have to wait for a table. This place gets busy. Portions are nice, coffee is good, service is fast once you're seated, and the price is reasonable. No complaints.

I love good breakfast and am a regular at this restaurant. I've eaten at most of the breakfast places in Santa Cruz County and this is the best in my opinion. Fried potatoes are something that are really important and theirs are excellent. The bacon is perfectly cooked and thick enough. They don't scrimp on the coffee either. Excellent omelets... More

What a great treat it was to go out to Cowboys Corner for breakfast on a rainy day when I was camping at Mt. Madonna. The eggs were perfect, the hash browns were addictive. And the service was wonderful, even though it was very crowded. I travel with my service dog, which usually unglues restaurant people who don't understand. The... More

It felt like good home cooking. Large portions and friendly staff. I had the biscuits and gravy and the portion was large with homemade biscuits.

Sitting here eating the Cowboy Omelette. Incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection! Comes with a home cooked muffin that's absolutely tasty! Place has that old diner feel, staff is friendly and attentive. If I end up back in the area I would most definitely eat here again! And again!

We were looking for a cafe or diner in Watsonville and found this one. Down home country cooking, the Cowboys Corner Cafe was just right. They have some interesting dishes with artichokes that are delicious. The cafe is older and appears to be the place where the locals eat. That's always a sign the food is good.

here's a good place for breakfast (& lunch) especially if you're a working guy, the daily menu, asparagus scramble, pork chop scramble, skirt steak & eggs. I ordered scrambled and sausage home fries and english. Typical & Perfect, the sausage had just the right spice, blended in me mouth.. Everything as you would want, a bookshelf for the lonely traveler,... More
