As a first time visitor, I was surprised at how good the food and service were! I picked this place because of the location and thoroughly enjoyed a lunch with family.

This restaurant is outstanding! Although I remember it when it used to be in San Francisco, they eventually moved to Walnut Creek, which was Walnut Creek's gain. The Pasta Pescatorre is to die for, I could not help but clean up my plate of that wonderful cream with a piece of bread. Delicious! My wife and I had dinner there... More

The food and service were excellent, once we were seated. Unfortunately, we were made to stand for about 20 minutes after our reservation time Saturday night, before being seated. During about the first half of our meal, the restaurant was overly crowded to the extent that it was difficult to hear each other across our table (of 4). After some... More

This family-owned restaurant opened 18 years ago (which says a lot). No cans in the kitchen; the ingredients are fresh. The style of some dishes is Sicilian, from which the owners originate. My Tortellini Papalina was delicious. One of my two companions agreed. The other had the ravioli, of which she approved. The welcome is warm, and the service was... More

It's nice to find, the the suburbs, a family run restaurant with authentic food. The chef-owner presents a fine menu in a warm inviting ambiance. The diner is seated in a cozy room with faux- rustic tuscan walls and well set tables. Service is delivered by waiters who are also part of the family. They know know their craft and... More

It is a nice, quiet, friendly Italian restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek. It is a bit pricey, but then everything seems to cost a little more than yesterday. The service was good and friendly, and since there were seven of us, that is a challenge since restaurants are doing mostly twos and fours. The food was good solid Italian and... More

I had lasagna bolognese, which was excellent. Caesar salad was average -- needed more anchovy flavors in my opinion. I wasn't so impressed with the tiramisu -- no rum flavoring at all that I could taste. My husband had the grilled eggplant with veal, Italian sausage, potatoes, pine nuts and cheese over marinara sauce served in a bed of mostaccioli... More

Fantastic food and service! We've eaten here about 5 times in the past year. Most recently, we dined here with family for Mother's Day celebration. Everyone enjoyed everything. Their ceasar salad is wonderful! And lasagna is one of my favorites. My husband says their Manhattans are perfecto! Such an absolutely wonderful dining experience every time!

Sevice is such a big deal to my wife and me! We ate here on Sunday evening, June 15th. We ate in the bar, and Michael was the bartender and our waiter. He was fantastic! The food was also very good, but I thought it was just a bit expensive. However, we heartily enjoyed ourselves.......I strongly recommend this place!

2-course lunch for $10 during Walnut Creek's Restaurant Week. Ragu pasta wasn't drained well so sauce was a little watery, but it was tasty. yellow sponge cake for dessert was also very good. wait staff were very cordial.
