The best gnocchis

This was my first visit. My friend and I went because we were looking for a place that served gnocchis. My friend makes this dish often so we had high expectations. I ordered the dish with the white sauce. I was not disappointed, they were delicious. The pear salad was fantastic as well. It is... read more

I visited during a business trip in June. I sat in the bar and had an attentive server in spite of her task to add som new plastic cushioning material to the bar for the glasses. I had a salad and a gnocchi dish with cream sauce. While the dish had great flavor, the sauce was more like cream poured... More

We had a reservation for four before the theater. Salvatore's charges an extra $3 to split a salad, so we passed. We had two specials, the lasagna and the salmon, and two items on the regular menu, linguini pescatore and the eggplant parmigiana. The linguini was the best with lots of seafood. The other dishes were good, but not great.... More

We were looking for a low keyed night out with good food, a full bar and a “not over the top” menu. This establishment fulfilled all of those items. The waiter staff was very, very personable and efficient. Two of us had the Calamari Dore (steaks) and the others had pasta dishes (shrimp ravioli specials) along with various salads for... More

When we want a pleasant , quiet restaurant with well trained wait staff and good food we come here. Too many restaurants now are so noisy that I cannot enjoy my meal or have a conversation with friends. We have entered many, looked around and then left. Not here. Tablecloths, professional wait staff who know how to do their job,... More

The food at Salvatore's is like going to Italy. The pasta dishes melt in your mouth and the fish dishes are fresh and tasty. The service and the owners attention to every detail was more than good.

Salvatore was a last minute choice. Definitely a locals place located one street off of Main. Table was not immediately available so we waited in the bar where the service was not overwhelming. Nonetheless, we finally received ordered drinks about the same time our table came available. Once at table our service was again very friendly but certainly not prompt.... More

We are regular diners at this restaurant. The food is always reliable and well served. The staff are excellent and don't even charge for corkage with the regular customers. Nice cocktail bar and the best Lemondrop in Walnut Creek.

They have authentic talian food here. The service is good the place is cute and the staff is friendly. I think they make most of all of their own pasta and I've never had a bad meal here UmIt's also very conveniently located close to downtown and the theater. I have recommended this restaurant to more than a couple of... More
