It is a nice, quiet, friendly Italian restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek. It is a bit pricey, but then everything seems to cost a little more than yesterday. The service was good and friendly, and since there were seven of us, that is a challenge since restaurants are doing mostly twos and fours. The food was good solid Italian and... More

I had lasagna bolognese, which was excellent. Caesar salad was average -- needed more anchovy flavors in my opinion. I wasn't so impressed with the tiramisu -- no rum flavoring at all that I could taste. My husband had the grilled eggplant with veal, Italian sausage, potatoes, pine nuts and cheese over marinara sauce served in a bed of mostaccioli... More

Fantastic food and service! We've eaten here about 5 times in the past year. Most recently, we dined here with family for Mother's Day celebration. Everyone enjoyed everything. Their ceasar salad is wonderful! And lasagna is one of my favorites. My husband says their Manhattans are perfecto! Such an absolutely wonderful dining experience every time!

Sevice is such a big deal to my wife and me! We ate here on Sunday evening, June 15th. We ate in the bar, and Michael was the bartender and our waiter. He was fantastic! The food was also very good, but I thought it was just a bit expensive. However, we heartily enjoyed ourselves.......I strongly recommend this place!

2-course lunch for $10 during Walnut Creek's Restaurant Week. Ragu pasta wasn't drained well so sauce was a little watery, but it was tasty. yellow sponge cake for dessert was also very good. wait staff were very cordial.

Salvatore and his family have done an excellent job of consistently providing quality food and cocktails for a reasonable cost. The service is excellent and the restaurant somewhat quieter than most. Make sure to make a reservation on the weekend.

Salvatore is one of the best cooks in the world. Everything is first class. Leslie makes wonderful drinks. The restaurant is clean and family owned. The Italian names: Salvatore, Angela, etc are real. Sal, his wife and Angela are from Sicily. Having traveled to Italy, I know you are not rushed at dinner. So if you are in a rush... More

We chose this restaurant to host a surprise birthday party for my mom, who was turning 75. The owner (I think her name is Angela? I have it written down someplace :-), was SUPER accommodating to all of my questions and requests. She invited me to come in earlier that day to set up decorations, balloons and such, and even... We went with friends who found the place on the internet. Had reservations on a Sat. night, which was a good thing - place was packed. Why? Service was extremely slow, with phony Italian wait staff names and accents. Food was REALLY slow coming out - several other tables seated well after we ordered had their entrée before our salad... Service was slow to non existant, food was very small portions for such a high price. I guess most who have reviewed this place really dont know what good Italian foor is. To me it was sub-par and I will not go back.
