On Wednesday, I ordered fresh shucked oysters as an appetizer. Oyster are a dish I have enjoyed for many decades; I have eaten many varieties in many countries. Just as I was surprised with the low rating for Vic Stewart's on this website, I was equally surprised by the low rating for this restaurant. Walnut Creek basically has two high-end seafood restaurants: this one (Scott's) and the Walnut Creek Yacht Club. Each has its own strengths, and one is not clearly better than the other.
