Pre-Mother's Day lunch

We always enjoy eating at Sasa. The service has always been great and the food also. As usual, we started with the Tuna Parfait which is always a favorite (although we found a slightly better one last weekend). We then enjoyed the Lettuce Wraps. These were also quite tasty although the lettuce was... read more

Sasa has been on our list to try for a long tie but for whatever the reason we did not make it happen. Fast forward to Mother's Day where I score a last minute reservation (thank you OpenTable!) Let start by saying the food is superb. Service - Spot on without being pushy. Service was prompt and our waitress upbeat.... More

The menu was changed in the past 6 months to more Japanese food rather than the fusion style previously. Loved the place before but would probably not go back again with the new menu.......too bad as it was our favorite spot in The Creek

My first time dining at Sasa and it definitely won't be my last. Not only is the venue beautiful, but the service and food was exceptional. Our server, Bill, gave us a quick education in sake and tastings to select one we enjoyed most. He asked if he could take our menus and select the food for us, noting any... More

After a bit of trail walking at Mount Diablo we were thirsty and hungry and happened to be in Walnut Creek in the late afternoon and stopped in at Sasa Izakaya for some drinks and food. The interior of the restaurant is quite attractive, with options to sit at the bar, on couches, at bar-height tables, or at standard-height dining... More

I have only been there twice, and sampled only two rolls, but they were among the best I've ever had. What is the most spectacular is the black cod. It is hard to find, and even harder to find so well prepared. I have never had it as good since Kyo-ya in the Palace Hotel in San Francisco closed several... More

After a long drive into town on a Friday night, decided to pop into one of my favorite joint in WC. Luckily there is a seat at the bar. Ordered the sashimi omakase plus that night special uni from Santa Barbara. It was good, but not the best I had. My only input that can be of an improvement is... More

I dined at Sasa Izakaya twice when I was in town for business. We actually stumbled upon the place the first time; and were mesmerized by the outdoor patio and the beautiful waterfall fountain on the inside. We chose to eat on the patio; which is a beautiful setting. I can't recall each of the items that we had precisely... More

The food at Sasa is amazing! Don't miss the eggplant...luscious and unlike any eggplant I've ever had. The plate size lends well to sharing. We didn't have anything I didn't LOVE! The service is impeccable.

love dining at the sushi bar. Fresh sushi and wonderful sushi chefs. Delicious fusion Japanese food. However, service is inconsistent at the bar or table sections. It really depends on the servers. This is why we start to seat by the bar...it should be at least a 4 star restaurant if the service improves
