Outstanding food, prepared well and nice presentation in a understated, but very nice atmosphere with an open kitchen (nothing to hide). Would have been 5 stars except the service was slow and spotty. Not the waiters fault. It appeared they only had one for approximately 10 tables. Fairly long waits between courses and check. We will return for the Food.

This place is by far the best Italian restaurant in WC. I travel here for work frequently and have made the rounds saving this one for near last. The food is simply Wow factor. I had a chance to talk to the proprietor (di Venezia) and he was quite frank with me. He has a mission to create the best... More

Six of us arrived at 6:15 PM for dinner before a night at the Lesher Theater. We informed the waiter of our theater plans at that time. The menu is confusing with no clear separation between courses. It's difficult to tell what are appetizers, 1st and 2nd courses etc. After some clarification from the waiter we ordered. A salad arrived... More

I have been there 3 times now. The food has always been near perfect as well as the service. This place can use a little more business as it's usually slow, especially on weekdays. The last restaurant in this location was a French restaurant but it failed due to lack of business. From the outside it doesn't look like anything... More

One of the best restaurants in the East Bay. I have eaten here 20+ times and have never been disappointed. The cold smoked swordfish to start is wonderful. The pastas are fresh and excellent. The gnocchi with smoked dunk is delicious. Had the veal steak and it was tender and very flavorful. Go early, before ^:30 and you will have... More

...you need to come here. It's tiny, quiet, romantic, and the food is really special. Especially for Walnut Creek. If you love Italian food, as in, the kind of food they make in Italy (not the Olive Garden), you will really enjoy this. Make sure to get a pasta dish. The pasta is homemade, light and delicious. And the risotto... More

Too often, we think of Italian food as red sauces. This Northern Italian eatery introduces you to earthy sugos, rich seafood risottos and more. I enjoyed the wild boar sugo and though the portion looked of normal size, the amount of delicious meat allowed me to take it home and make a lunch from it. The scallops my partner had... More

This is a local restaurant for us that we found on trip advisor. Having gone to all of the fine dining in Walnut Creek, this place did not disappoint. Prices reasonable for the quality.

This place is special. We ate here based on an OpenTable search, and are so glad we did. Everything is fresh and oh, so tasty. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food--well, not only is it delicious (try the seafood pasta or the pork chop), but the prices are very, very reasonable. The wine selection is not wide,... More

There are some great restaurants in Walnut Creek, and I've had some really great meals here. My dinner at Ottavio last weekend was the best. Really outstanding Italian cuisine in a smallish, intimate environment with great service. I opened with calamaretti e piovra alla griglia con ruchetta e speck (Grilled octopus and calamari with arugula and smoked prosciutto) and it... More
