Went on a Wednesday night. Took about 10 minutes to be seated. Place was not super busy. Took another 5 minutes to get drink order. Slow service. Really bad acoustics, could hear the parents arguing with their daughter clearly, and the couple with the toddler made no attempt to quiet the child. The pizza was crunchy crust, and my wife's... When I first moved here, this place got rave reviews on Yelp, and one bad review which said, "I don't understand all these rave reviews; it tastes like Chef Boyardee." He was right. But if you like bland, Americanized Italian food, you may like this place. Better go another block down the street to Ciao's.

My husband and I just moved to Vista and we were looking for authentic Italian food (I grew up in NJ.). This place totally blew us away! It doesn't look like much from the outside but a totally different look greets you when you walk inside. A small, authentic restaurant decorated with red checkered tablecloths, Chianti bottles hanging from the... More

We stumbled on Marco's when the restaurant we wanted to go to had a 45 minute wait. So glad we did. Even though we were a party of 8 we were seated almost immediately in the back room where they have tables for large groups. We loved the decor since it took me back to Italy. The Italian food was... We love this place... have been eating here for over 18 years.... and in spite of that history... the best meal I've had here was my last visit. I almost always go for his special ... but last time I ordered the "Chef Special" off of the menu... It was a chicken in Lemon sauce with side of pasta... incredible.... More

This was, hands down, our family's favorite when lived in Vista (1979-1984). We could always count on the excellent quality of food & service. My personal favorite dish & the highlight of my dinner was their homemade Italian Cheesecake. I have never found an Italian Cheesecake even close in flavor or texture. Below I had to enter a visit date... More

This place is a classic. All Pasta is homemade, as well as all their sauces. It is a mom and pop kind of place. Worth the drive.

Don't expect slick with neon and glass, instead you'll get red checkered tablecloths with no windows. Expected Frank Sinatra to appear at any moment. Classic old school Italian. Authentic food cooked to perfection by an old Italian family. I gave it 5 stars only because there was not a sixth star to click on.

Marcos is nothing fancy but the portions were large, the food was excellent and the prices were great.
