Uncle Tony's is a small intimate restaurant in our neighborhood and we enjoy dining there frequently. We have gone for lunches and dinners and ordered a variety of items off the menu and were pleased by them all. We are seniors and not big eaters. Our favorite lunch time order is the Meatball Sandwich. It comes with fries or house... More

The best Italian food in North County hands down. I have tried almost every single Italian restaurant in North County and none are as good all around. He has the most extensive menu, exclusively Italian Wine, local microbrews on tap, Seafood/Pizza/Pasta/Subs/Calzones are all on-point, and the most charm as well. Are all the Italian Restaurants you are going to run... More

This place has the best Pizza/Pasta hands down in all of San Diego. Authentic Italian Food, family owned and operated. Couldn't be any better than it already is. Haven't had any pizza or garlic nots that great since I was in New York 4 years ago. Also the owner is great. From New York I believe and also is with... More

We were just trying to find a place to eat as we visited our son and his family. We went to Uncle Tony's because it was close. Surprise! This little neighborhood place had some of the best Italian food in our experience. My wife's a gourmet cook, and her clam linguine was "perfect" she thought. I had the veal parmigiana,... More

A great spot to grab lunch or dinner in Vista. The Proprietor, Tony, is from Sicily. For a small place, they have a very extensive Italian wine selection. They also have a large selection of local craft brews on draft. One of the best "works" pizzas, and vegetarian pizzas. A good selection of fresh salads and pastas.

We visited on a weeknight while staying in Carlsbad. We had a reservation but didn't need one that night, but I think on weekends it might be a good idea, the dining room is not that big. It's very clearly a neighborhood place, but we were greeted warmly and treated like friends. The salads and bread were fine but nothing... More

A little 'hole in the wall' that is surprisingly good. The zucchini appetizer was fantastic. I would love to make this at home. Everything else was very good. My husband was not happy about the owner not acknowledging us in any way. When we left he kept talking to the people at the bar even when we said thank you/goodnight.... More

Uncle Tony's is a little Italian hideaway in Vista. The food is fresh, light & delicious! The wines are excellent. I will be in more often.

When the promise is " Everything is made from scratch daily with only the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. ", and it is not at that Cardinal level, I consider it bait and switch. This was not the fine dining experience as implied / stated on this restaurants clever website. Uncle Tony's is overpriced and over-rated for the cut corners... More

You are using some words that are offensive to me. To say that my ingredients are not fresh is untrue. I use the highest product that is available. As a chef, I have worked at all high-end restaurants before I owned my own restaurant, and many places cut corners to make a profit but I have never done that and... More

I've been going to Uncle Tony's for several years now. I work nearby so I go here pretty often. The lunch specials are great. The calzones are amazing. The sandwiches are also tasty. Like other people have stated, the service is on the slow side. It's not a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. However, I suggest... More
