We read a lot of great reviews on a review site, so we thought we would give it a try for breakfast, but we ended up disappointed. The service was ok and the food was ok, but definitely only 3 out of 5 stars. I had an omelette with egg substitute and it was the weirdest texture to an omelette... More

This is a wonderful, family owned restaurant that serves up a great breakfast at a very fair price. Be sure to have the home fries with your eggs, they come with sautéed green peppers, onions, and mushrooms (any or all), and are crunchy and lovely. Beware of the omelets -they are huge, and could feed a small village!

A fairly typical family restaurant. I think the present owner is the third generation to run the place. Back in the 1980s the old Greek couple used to hold court like European restaurant and bar owners have always done. But it's really just a diner - an atypical one, in that they are only open for breakfast & lunch -... More

We regularly go to the Sunrise Cafe for Sunday brunch (almost every weekend). The food is always good, the service is excellent and the owners make you feel like you are their most important customer. If you love biscuits and gravy they serve the best I've had since my grandmother passed, if you love omelets they have a nice variety... More

This use to be a great place with good service and good food. I went there for breakfast after church and we got our table the waitress was not professionally dressed, she look like she just got of bed. The food was so-so, the portions were smaller and the prices are getting higher. and the use to be better. A... More

this is a very popular breakfast & meeting place for locals. Usually a wait on weekends. friendly service & good home made food. But portions have gone down and so has the atmosphere. Needs a good cleaning and upgrade of booths etc. We don't go as often as before.

A must stop in San Diego's north county. We eat there all the time and if you like home cooked meals you have come to the right location. Don't forget to get a chocolate chip cookie or brownie on the way out as they are some of the best I have ever had.

We ordered breakfast to go from this restaurant and it was great! I had the french toast and my husband had the biscuts and gravy. We both at our meals all up and split a mushroom and onion omlette with home potatoes. It was all just perfect! We would eat there again if we weren't just passing through. Highly recommended!

First, parking is insane. We parked quite a distance down on the strip mall. But then anyone who thinks they should great parking at the peak of the brunch rush on Saturday ought to lower their expectations. Locals eat here....at lot of them. So parking is at a premium. And you will wait. No worse than any IHOP. The food... More
