This is a nice place for a weeknight meal... I even recall some decent drink and wine specials. There isn't a bar scene to speak of and the atmosphere is a bit lacking. Service is meh.

Reasonable prices, good service, interesting menu and delicious food. Food was fresh -I had a wonderful salad. It being St Patrick's Day, my husband had a corned beef special that was tasty and tender. What more is there?

Although our waitress didn't give us utensils for the first 15 minutes and the bread served at the table was cold, it was good. My brother got a NY strip which was one of the best tasting steaks I have had in years - nice smoky flavor with sautéed mushrooms. I had the pesto shrimp scampi which was ok. Would... More

We'd tried two restaurants before this- one had a 25 minute waiting time, the other totally ignored us- so we were a bit despondent when we entered the doors at 225. But are we glad we did! We were treated as if we were family rather than customers- excellent service, humour, advice on beer- and great food at a very... More

I chose Café 225 because they did Open Table reservations - what a great choice and a fantastic dinner!!! Seating was easy and wait staff very friendly. Kept my water glass full and checked on me just the right amount of times. I started with the Chili Bean soup - amazing flavor. Not your typical chili - this was spicy... More

The spinach salad with grilled chicken, pomegranate seeds and dried cranberries was very good. It is a good thing that I asked for the honey-mustard dressing on the side for the amount of dressing provided would have drowned the salad. I stopped by mid-week and the place was well occupied by a local crowd. I would not hesitate to return.

If you ever want your taste buds to explode try this dish. My friend and I were vacationing at the Sequoia National forest and had to go into town for supplies. Another camper told us about a couple of places here in town and since we were happy with the first suggestion we tried, we decided to go try this... More

We just had dinner at the Cafe 225 and we experienced some good service and great food. We arrived a bit early to our reservation but this was absolutely no problem. The waitress took us to a nice table and we were immediately served a glas of nice cold water and some bread. From the menu we picked the mixed... More

This is one of those places people go just for tradition and because they are just to their normal routine! The food is just average, the service is average, and even when I tried to like the food and service it just didn't do it for me. I do frequent many places and before people complain, I rate only food... More
