There have been a lot of restaurants to come and go in downtown Visalia. 225 has lasted because the menu is updated and the service and atmosphere is great. There is quite a variety on the menu so you have a good chance of finding something that you will like and probably like it enough that you will want to... More

Pleasant, urban atmosphere. Good bistro food. A bit like a favorite neighborhood restaurant. Good service. Should be on your list of places to dine when you are in Visalia.

My date wanted a peaceful setting & 225 was a good choice. Discreet service & good food. Why there were crayons on the table I don't know. No children were present.

This restaurant could be phenomenal with a few tweaks. It has a great location and charming and cozy atmosphere. Let's start with the beginning, my clam chowder was good but the chef needs to a little more spice and the soup should been served hot. It's the little things really. The waitress brought us bread that was dry and stale... More

The owner Karl and his team did a great job for us and our wintasting group. The buffet was beautifully set out and serviced, and the food was very tasty. We had requested his small group room for a specific date, the menu prepared and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Café 225!

One of a number of excellent restaurants in downtown Visalia. Great CA style menu items. Typical pricing. Steak was cooked to order. Service was a little slow, but might have been due to servers handling too many tables. I had a reservation but wasn't asked for the info when we went in.

This is a place the locals will recommend for a great meal. I found it "ok". I would eat here again but I found it just average. My friend and I were seated promptly without a reservation, we were served promptly and got what we ordered, the food was fine but I don't remember what I had.

Awesome price fixe Mother's Day menu. Enjoyed free flowing champagne, espresso drinks & OJ. Service was prompt & courteous. Eggs Benedict, Chiliquillas, lamb & chicken were all amazing. Even the kids loved it... Their favorite was the Nutella crepes.

This is a nice place for a weeknight meal... I even recall some decent drink and wine specials. There isn't a bar scene to speak of and the atmosphere is a bit lacking. Service is meh.
