The owner Karl and his team did a great job for us and our wintasting group. The buffet was beautifully set out and serviced, and the food was very tasty. We had requested his small group room for a specific date, the menu prepared and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Café 225!

One of a number of excellent restaurants in downtown Visalia. Great CA style menu items. Typical pricing. Steak was cooked to order. Service was a little slow, but might have been due to servers handling too many tables. I had a reservation but wasn't asked for the info when we went in.

This is a place the locals will recommend for a great meal. I found it "ok". I would eat here again but I found it just average. My friend and I were seated promptly without a reservation, we were served promptly and got what we ordered, the food was fine but I don't remember what I had.

Awesome price fixe Mother's Day menu. Enjoyed free flowing champagne, espresso drinks & OJ. Service was prompt & courteous. Eggs Benedict, Chiliquillas, lamb & chicken were all amazing. Even the kids loved it... Their favorite was the Nutella crepes.

This is a nice place for a weeknight meal... I even recall some decent drink and wine specials. There isn't a bar scene to speak of and the atmosphere is a bit lacking. Service is meh.

Reasonable prices, good service, interesting menu and delicious food. Food was fresh -I had a wonderful salad. It being St Patrick's Day, my husband had a corned beef special that was tasty and tender. What more is there?

Although our waitress didn't give us utensils for the first 15 minutes and the bread served at the table was cold, it was good. My brother got a NY strip which was one of the best tasting steaks I have had in years - nice smoky flavor with sautéed mushrooms. I had the pesto shrimp scampi which was ok. Would... More

We'd tried two restaurants before this- one had a 25 minute waiting time, the other totally ignored us- so we were a bit despondent when we entered the doors at 225. But are we glad we did! We were treated as if we were family rather than customers- excellent service, humour, advice on beer- and great food at a very... More
