The "VP" as we locals call it is in my opinion our town's finest restaurant. Service, food and presentation are all excellent. The owner and chef, David, does a recipe club night once a month and we have become regulars because it is fun and delicious. For a fine night out this is the place to go.

This place spares no expense and time on food and drink. The meals are all great, its a bit expensive but if you want some of the best food in California eat here. The service is great too, it does take a little to long for a drink in the bar. They don't seem to push the alcohol, however if... More

If you have a special occasion in Visalia, this is a great place to go. The food is always excellent.add well as the service. There is a bit of an older clientele and atmosphere, so bring your own friends! The best place to eat within the restaurant is the bar area. They have a few small tables tucked away and... More

Living here in Visalia, I've been to the Vintage Press many times. The food, specials, service, wine list and desserts (especially their own ice cream) are superb! If you have a problem getting a reservation just go down the track to The Depot (no pun intended). Owned and operated by the same family, the old railroad station has the same... More

Vintage Press has an excellent chef. There is a variety of food for all different tastes. You can get vegetarian, vegan and great meat, chicken and fish. One of my very favorite dishes is in the fall they have pumpkin soup, It's is super yummy!

It may be as good as it gets in Visalia, but this restaurant is anathema if you care about animal rights. Featuring lots and lots of dead animals on this menu, this restaurant sadly equates animal suffering with haute cuisine. Doubly unfortunate is the fact that this restauranteur owns about half of the eateries in town. Sadly uninformed regarding sustainable... More

We have been dining here for the past 30 years and have never had a bad experience. The more I travel the more I realize that the Vintage Press is a true gem. Their cocktails are excellent, they use fresh fruit juice. The bread is home-made. In short, you can't go wrong here. While I would not describe this as... More

I had dinner here with three colleagues, one of whom had dined here the night before and had a wonderful experience. The interior of the restaurant has a very "speakeasy" kind of feel. Our waitress was very friendly. Two of my colleagues ordered the duck while a third ordered the sturgeon, all of which they very much enjoyed. I ordered... More

I love the food and the ambiance. Great place to eat. David always does an excellent job and always makes it a point to meet and greet his clientele.
