Food and wait staff were great and the Teppanyaki chef was very entertaining, which would normally deserve 5 stars. But when a cockroach crawled up from the grill onto our table and the Manager makes excuses about nearby construction and as an apology offers the table bowls of ice cream, it made us feel incredibly unimportant to him or his... The best thing about Tokyo Garden is the nice garden view visible from window side seating. TG offers teppanyaki and traditional entrees. The sushi selection ranges from the traditional to some more creative choices. Our table was well serviced throughout the meal. Our meal fell short of expectation at times,e.g. tempura coating perfect for a fish and chips dish but... More

Had the Visalia roll tonight with the tempura sweet potato in it, really delicious, the freshest tuna I've had in a long time.

Resturant has been around for a long time. Excellent food, decent prices, good service. Can get a bit crowded due to popularity. Love the Yum-Yum roll and sashimi (raw tuna is my absoulte favorite!).

I usually have sushi once or twice a week at various restaurants throughout California. One of the better ones in the san Joaquin Valley is Tokyo Garden in Visalia. The fish is some of the freshest I have had. the Mackeral and the yellowtail were outstanding. Try the Larry Roll for some great flavor thats a bit different then the... More

Scott Hakl took me there with his family and we had a wonderful dinner!!! The chef cooked in front of us and entertained us with a real show! If you like raw fish they have good sushi, however if you like cooked food it is great as well! I love their miso soup, which is always my favourite start! I... More

Tokyo Gardens is a nice Japanese Restaurant. The kids like the Koi pond at the front entrance. It is a fun place to dine and very entertaining to watch your personal chef prepare fried foods on a grill in front of you. Their acrobatic feats with the food and knives is exciting and part of the overall dining experience. The... More
