We had a business dinner here this past weekend and it was perfect! The ambiance is conducive to conversation, yet its casual enough to not feel uncomfortable. The food was high-end and delicious! The online reservation system at http://www.jackandcharli… is flawless! I mentioned some dietary restrictions and the owner e-mailed me back to let me know they could accommodate them.... More

Sunday night isn't the most auspicious day to go out for dinner in Visalia. Many of the high-rated restaurants aren't open.......and those which are might not have the regular personnel on duty in the kitchen and dining room. We tried Jack and Charlie's as probably the best among those that were open and within a reasonable distance. The service was... More

Went to this restaurant on a whim, had never heard of it before. It was FABULOUS!!! The menu was amazing. Plan on doing the 3 course pairing for $46 per person...it gives you the best bang for your buck!! I highly recommend the filet mignon, the meat absolutely melted in my mouth. The quail was also amazing. Lots to choose... More

Jack and Charlies transcends you back to a long ago era of Hollywood glamor, good times, and comfort foods. Order specialty flavored infused vodka's from the bar or comfort foods such as beef stroganoff or a sauteed chicken liver dinner from the restaurant. The waiters and bar-tenders are all friendly and helpful. The prices are descent. Meet up with friends... More

It was a good place, good food, service, etc. They want mne to say more, actually, we each brought our own wine and I don't remember much about the food, but it was a fun night. I am pretty sure the food was good.

This is my favorite place in Visalia to eat with my husband or close friends. Let me warn you up front that this is not a quick meal. If you have eaten in Europe it is closer to this style of slowly enjoying your dinner and company. This is also going to be a pricier meal, especially if you order... More

Love Vintage Press and The Depot...decided to try Jack and Charlies. Will not go back. The service was very good, attentive. We ordered appitizers...The seared Pig Heart (way to raw) and the Fried Calamari... the first bite I took was battered Lemon! Yuck! Then we each ordered at salad... my husband was safe with the mixed green with vinegrette. I... More

Fancy and elegant but not stuffy or calcified. The food is interesting, and the use of ingredients will make you a lover of items you thought you didn't like before. Awesome. The staff is enthusiastic. The owner very helpful. The bar top notch. And did I mention the food? Classics done with freshness and verve. Nothing tastes rote. It all... More

I can't believe there are no reviews for Jack and Charlie's!!! This is one of our favorite restaurants in Visalia. Classic, but basic, art nouveau design. If you are looking for true exciting, creative, market-fresh bistro-syle food, this is your place. Think Wolfgang Puck in the early days. I could go on and on about favorite dishes we have had...
