Tried it once

We heard this was a restaurant we should try & is great but we were sadly disappointed. Service was very slow & the food was just ok. Don't think we will try it again.

Thai Basil offers fresh, always hot, tasty Thai specialties made to order. Small place so time your visit well or you may be left out in the cold.

We love Thai Basil's food and friends have commented that the cuisine is as good as any they've had in the Los Angeles area. The delicate use of lemon grass, basil and chiles is beautifully balanced. The staff will also help you punch up the spice, if you're so inclined. We're especially fond of the yellow curry sauce.

We went here on a Tuesday evening and were immediately seated. The atmosphere was both friendly and restful. We ordered Pad Thai, pinapple shrimp curry and sticky rice. Everything was delicious! We had coconut ice cream for dessert and it was heavenly! This place is definitely worth revisiting! I highly recommend it.

Fresh spring rolls and papaya salad/sticky rice was just like when I lived in Thailand! The pad Thai was also good! The staff was really friendly as well.

Hidden away in a strip mall this is the best Thai food in town. They have a very extensive menu and everything I've eaten is delicious! The service is quick and friendly - the owner will stop by and explain everything for you, so don't be afraid to ask about the seasoning. Oh, and watch out for the Thai herbs... More

Extensive menu for such a small place. The food is impressive. Great pad thai, A hidden gem of a restaurant. The service is also good. Worth the drive from out of town just to eat here.

This place serves great, fresh Thai food. You can easily select your heat factor, which I also enjoy. My favorites are the Chicken Phad Thai, Green Curry with Chicken, and the Spicy Shrimp. They also have smaller portioned lunch specials that come with an appetizer. We often order in on the night shift at work and they are happy to... More

When recently visiting Visalia went back three times within four days! The Fresh Spring Roll and Pad Thai with Shrimp were as expected - delicious. Something new to me was the Tom Kha Kai (cup of soup w chicken) for only $3.50 - yummy. And all four of us raved about the Four King (meat combo fried rice). However, the... More

Of course, that statement is made by me, a Gringo! The food ingredients are fresh, preparation is fresh and you can have the food as spicy or not spicy hot as you want it. But if you want 0 hot, be sure that your waitress understands NO hot.
