Simply the Best

Our family maybe eats out once or twice a week, and Thai Basil is always our first choice. We have been eating here for years, and have never had an unsatisfying meal. We love to eat family style, and get multiple dishes with varying flavors. The Fresh Spring Rolls are always amazing, and the... read more

We were on our way back from Sequoia NP and looking for a place to eat along the way to the hotel. It was more difficult than we thought because most restaurants around there were only open until 9 p.m. or even 8 p.m. We chose Thai Basil because they close at 9 p.m. and again, conveniently located on the... Everything is great, but, be careful, you could end up waiting for a period of time. They take many telephone take out orders, and on Friday and Saturday, you could be for a wait. They put out the meals in the order they were taken, phone or in restaurant. So you may be behind many called in orders, and sit... More

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. This is my second favorite eatery in the valley, well, it's tied for first place actually. The food is phenomenal, for lack of a better word. The dining room may be a tad small and sometimes service may seem to drag but the food is more than worth it, and the... More

It's a small place, so realize that you are going to have to wait if there's a crowd. Having said that the food is excellent!

Stopped here for a late lunch on the way to Yosemite. Glad we did. It's located in a shopping center just off rt 199 and worth the search to find it. I'm a fan of Indian food and had never had "Thai". Once you find the menu item you want your asked what spice level you would like. They rate... More

Wanting a takeaway that wasn't fast food. Found this gem of a place. Very friendly staff. Devine eating experience with generous portions. Enjoyed entree, 3 different curries and 2 salads. Couldn't pick a favorite but I always enjoy a Panang curry. Will eat in next time as the atmosphere in the restaurant seemed very relaxed a smelled delicious.

Driving through Visalia on way home from vacation. I wasn't sure how good Thai food could be in the Central Valley, but this little place was excellent! As a vegan, I am accustomed to having difficulties eating out. However, no problems here. Great vegan dishes. Everything we ordered was wonderful. Great service and reasonable prices. Would definitely stop here again!

Just had a take away-dinner from Thai Basil. Food was absolutely delicious!! Had few starters, a salad and few curries to share. If you like thai food, this is the place not to miss. No photos to share unfortunately. Didnt get a chance to get one before all the food was gone!!

We heard this was a restaurant we should try & is great but we were sadly disappointed. Service was very slow & the food was just ok. Don't think we will try it again.
