For having sushi for the first time. This place was amazing and out of this world. Not sure why I was so scared to try it. Went here for a business meeting and would definitely go back. Love the atmosphere and the employees

Arrived here almost too late for a lunch tappanyaki, but they did it for us anyway. I must admit it's a little pricey for lunch in this area, but the servers were friendly, the food was tasty. We had the steak/shrimp combo and I enjoyed the show, watching the chef do "his thing" on the grill in front of us.... More

I decided to have the dinner special which included sesame chicken, mixed tempura, mizo soup, salad, california roll. I also had an Unagi roll which was sooooo great. Sushi dinner is always more pricey both this restaurant is definitely worth a try if you are in the area. This restaurant also offer Teppanyaki style dinner. I will try that next... More

It was worth the 6 mile detour from Highway 99 to visit this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. On our way back to the Los Angeles area, we were in need of some lunch, we checked TripAdvisor and Yelp and decided this was a good choice. Several creative sushi options, but limited for items such as clams. We... More

I came on a nice slow day. Service was great. They had issues with the stove so they couldn't bring out egg rolls right away so they ended up giving us extra for free plus tempura. This is my go to japanese place from now on when I visit Visalia.

Visiting relatives in Visalia and dined at Gozen based on their suggestion. Very pleasantly surprised to find such quality in such a small town. A bit on the pricy side but well worth every penny. Would not hesitate to dine there again on a future visit.

We come about once a month and a few times now, the service is just bad. They take your order and deliver the food and pretty much disappear after that. I asked for more ginger, she forgot. My water was out, no refill. I usually tip 18-20% but tonight, a little under 15% and I thought that was generous. The... More

1st timer at a Sushi place, and even though I'm not huge on raw fish… there is something for everyone. Had the garlic rice, the fire roll, yum yum roll, and one other which name I can't remember. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Tried the chopsticks, which was a complete failure for me. Aside from my poor sushi dining... More

I came here on March 16th which landed on a Sunday. Despite it being the busiest day for a restaurant we where seated almost immediately in the regular dinning area. Our drinks where super delicious. I loved the koi. Our food was also great. I don't care for seafood so I got teriyaki beef over fried rice which was amazingly... More
