Fun Fifties Theme

We enjoyed the Fifties decor and found the service and food good. Just what you would expect from a Fifties style diner. The location is convenient for shopping at the outlet stores too.

We had a lunch at this place when shopping at Vacaville outlets; it was Tuesday around 1:10 pm, only few people eating there. I ordered Taco salad and my sister ordered lunch specials – roast beef sandwich combo. Staff was friendly and food came fast. I did not realize my taco was one large piece of deep fried chip (it... One person took our orders and another delivered. Food was ok but it seemed to take a while. It would be wonderful for patrons and staff if person taking order also delivered. Hate, hate, hate, having to ask for the sides that were requested when order was taken and then have to wait.

Stopped over for breakfast after an early morning doctor appointment, it was my first time there. The restaurant theme is very neat, 50's - not my kinda of theme but it was very nostalgic. We were seated rather quickly but in the short time we waited saw the first line of the daily special. They came to our table again... More

I have been to about 5 of these eateries: Mission St, Geary Bl, Sacramento, Roseville, and Vacaville. My favorite is the one on Geary Blvd. I have been both by myself and on dates. It's a great place for families too. I always see kids sitting and spinning at the bar stools. They play music and feel comfortable. The servers... More

My wife and I dined two different times at Mel's while we were in Vacaville for some training. Food was tasty and the 50's-style atmosphere was pleasant. Staff was friendly, attentive and speedy.

What a great nostalgic 50's restaurant!! Right back to the American Graffiti days. Done really well. Lots of great décor and the working mini jukebox at your table! Great burgers, lots of food. Will be back!

We've eaten here quite a number of times. It has good diner food. It isn't like a top quality restaurant--more like Dennys. But it is good.
