Hardly anyone in here when we arrived late afternoon; seemed eerie. I liked the steak salad. My companion enjoyed a steak sandwich; nothing extraordinary, but good. Large portions. Has a small outdoor seating area, but your view is a parking lot. Excellent service from Brian.

Friendly staff. Average food. Enjoy the Railroad Camp shrimp. Crowded the night we went but staff was good at keeping up with orders and service.

We ate here on a Friday night. The place was very crowded but I'm not sure why. None of the food had any kind of taste at all. Service was very lacking as well. Will not be going back

Last two times we have been to Tahoe Joes the service has just been horrible. We sat in the bar one night and ordered 3 steak salads and it took over 45 minutes to get our food. There was only one other table that was occupied that night. Thursday night we went in at about 7:30 and again service was... More

Went there for happy hour with friends after a long absence. Place is much improved in our opinion. Nibbles tasty, beer cold, wine glasses sparkling, excellent service. All good.

This is one of my "Go To" places in my hometown. The food is consistently good and the portions more the fair especially at lunch. I would have given them 5 stars but the one drawback is the noise level. Even if the place is only half full the acoustics are horrible it's so loud you have to almost yell... More

Different than most steakhouses. These steaks are smoked for several hours. So if you prefer your steaks rare, this is not the place for you. I asked for medium rare and they said it probably wasn't possible. So I asked for them to give me the most rare piece they could and that worked out fine. Tender and juicy!

Without a doubt, the steaks are good. The rest of the menu is not. The prices are too steep given the atmosphere, service and quality of the food. I am happy to spend $150 on a dinner for three, but I expect to be at least a bit impressed by the food and not feel ripped off. Unfortunately, at Tahoe... More

The meals are fantastic. If you like steak, ribs or chicken, this is a great restaurant to go to. The staff is friendly and efficent.

The sides were passable. Adding bacon to everything makes it so I guess. Sorry vegetarians, the pasta is an inedible mush. The portion is big, which just means it's alot of bad food. Drinks are also expensive and they need a better beer selection on tap. Good atmosphere and a nice outdoor patio.
