Good breakfast at a local eatery

I don't understand the #1 rating but I do agree it is a good place. So if you live in or passing through Vacaville this is a good choice for breakfast and lunch. If your like me and are tired or restaurant chains and want more of a down home cooking with great service this is you place.

A nice coffee shop atmosphere, this restaurant is open for breakfast at 7am, and closes at 3pm. We arrived at 11am, and were given the breakfast menu. Because the ladies next to us were talking so loudly we could not visit easily, we asked and were seated in a quieter section. We still were given breakfast menus, and when we... More

If you are traveling East or West on I80, this is the ideal place to stop for breakfast or lunch before or after power shopping at the Premium Outlets or traveling home after skiing at Tahoe. The service is excellent with attentive, friendly servers, a wide variety of meal selections with freshly made breads and fresh fruit. The dinning area... More

You will receive a really meal with fresh food! Not like some other places that will give you micro waved reheated meat as a side dish and really potato's and fresh fruit!! Their coffee is fresh and tastes like coffee, they don't serve hobo coffee... if you know coffee, you know what I mean.

Yesterday, I treated my teenage granddaughter to lunch at the Black Oak after our afternoon of shopping. She loves hamburgers, and devoured her cheeseburger in record-breaking time. The burger comes with a huge order of fries and choice of a soup or salad. Our salads were crisp and loaded with wonderful vegetables. My Reuben sandwich was quite tasty, and the... More

Very attentive wait staff. Your coffee cup won't be empty for long. Lots of comfort foods here. We each had something different and we liked everything we ordered. Every December 24th, several of my family stop at this restaurant for lunch on the way to Sacramento. It is right off the highway. We stopped at 11:30 and it was busy... More

We live in the area and always stop in for breakfast / brunch. In all the times we've been there we have never had a bad experience. The portions are HUGE and the people are friendly! A warm, cozy, small town country diner type of place. Try the french toast or waffles; both are delicious!

Black Oak Restaurant is nice, well run establishment, with very good food. When you walk in you are greeted with the gift shop which clearly tells you this place is family friendly. During the lunch hour, We had French Toast and Chicken Fried Steak which tasted good. The menu has a variety of choices. The service was excellent. The restroom... More

They give a generous portion of eggs and a large platter of several fresh fruits that are in season. Your choice of juice is included and they served this meal with homemade date nut loaf with whipped ambrosia. Top that with a cup of coffee and you will walk away fully satisfied. There is a gift shop in the front... More
