We visited this restaurant as a family group on a Sunday evening. The place is spacious and clean. We were seated quickly. They had a reasonable choice in the menu for vegetarians. We opted for "medium" spicy food and it was OK. The naans seemed better than the stuffed parathas. The service was a bit slow but we liked the... More

I highly recommend Clay Oven. We have been here several times and it is consistently good. The staff is helpful and courteous inspite of us having two rowdy boys. The food is very good and fresh. My only complaint is that it is a bit expensive for Indian food.

If I worked in the kitchen at the Clay Oven, I'd be frustrated. When we visited, they turned out some great food (albeit with somewhat milder flavors than you might expect), at a reasonable price. But that experience was more than offset by the incredibly slow and incompetent service.

We were not impressed. They have the names of various Indian foods on the menu, but the flavours lacked the complexity for which this cuisine is known. Also, things that were supposed to be hot, like vindaloo, were not hot at all. We were amazed by how many people were there for dinner at the beginning of the week. Mondays... More

Very nice restaurant, nice appearance, both inside and out. One had "Paneer Tikka Masala" which was a homemade Indian cheese in a tomato sauce, very good, but the medium heat requested was hotter than expected. The "Chicken Curry" also with the medium heat was excellent and plenty spicy, can't imagine what the hot would be like. Large portions and good... More

The curry was ordered hot and it came out to order. Not hot enough to cover the wonderful blend of spices. We ordered ours with rice and Naan. Service was good, a smile would help. The ambiance was nice. Gave the feeling of a higher end restaurant.

I went there 3 times. First for business after work good time. And we hit the bar while ordering some appetizer and all were delicious. If you like spicy you have to try "Vindaloo". Also try the chicken tikka masala (their specialty), I also tried salmon tandoori and it was great. As far as naan I tried the Spinach and... More

My review is simple: if you don't like (or can't take) spicy food, then you don't need to stop by. The atmosphere is fine, the bar crowd is friendly, and the service was wonderful. But when we asked for something mild we accepted the staff's recommendations. The presentation was fine, our meal arrived in a reasonable time; but, even this... More
