What a wonderful evening experience

This was our first visit and all was special. A very friendly staff, great menu selections, nice portions(brought home enough for lunch), local draft beer and good value. The medium spice might be to much but not over powering. Be adventurous and share. You will return.

The chef doesn't know how to cook Indian cuisine! I ordered Chicken Kebab and what i got was grilled hard chicken breast pieces! Their chef's special Chicken Methi was another big big disappointment. Ordered butter naan and they served plain naan with some butter! I mean are you kidding me! And the waiter said that's what they serve always! We... More

This is the best Indian restaurant that I know. Great food. The best naan. Haven't had a dish we didn't like. Also great for lunch the next day.

Open for lunch and dinner after shopping at the Premium Outlets or just traveling through town on I80. Ample seating for small or large groups and family friendly. Servers are very helpful if you are new to Indian food.

Food and service are good, but it's not cheap. Look to spend at least $15 per meal. I used a Groupon, so I was able to get $25 worth of food for $16.

The service was very good at this restaurant. As for the food, it's not genuine Indian food. It's far too Americanized for my taste. I would recommend Chaat Café in Fairfield for a more authentic experience.

We stopped in for dinner one night while out running errands and had a surprisingly great meal. We started with the vegetable pakoras, I ordered the goat curry and my wife had the chicken tikka masala. Each dish was very good and we were both very satisfied. We will definitely be back. Thanks! - SF

We visited this restaurant as a family group on a Sunday evening. The place is spacious and clean. We were seated quickly. They had a reasonable choice in the menu for vegetarians. We opted for "medium" spicy food and it was OK. The naans seemed better than the stuffed parathas. The service was a bit slow but we liked the... More

I highly recommend Clay Oven. We have been here several times and it is consistently good. The staff is helpful and courteous inspite of us having two rowdy boys. The food is very good and fresh. My only complaint is that it is a bit expensive for Indian food.

If I worked in the kitchen at the Clay Oven, I'd be frustrated. When we visited, they turned out some great food (albeit with somewhat milder flavors than you might expect), at a reasonable price. But that experience was more than offset by the incredibly slow and incompetent service.
