I was here for lunch and chose the "French dip w/fries". Large serving of french fries and sandwich made from a roll to dip in "au jueax" sauce. Great tasty sandwich and golden brown french fries and my partners made comments on the large servings when they chose breakfast. The food is such, that many leave with a take-out box.... More

I've been there several times for breakfast, and it has always been good. The coffee is typical diner-weak, but other than that It's my go-to breakfast place when I'm in Vacaville.

I took my family here on a non-holiday weekend right after our excursion at Vacaville Outlet. This was on a Sunday at 6:30PM. There was barely a crowd there. My family of 7 went ahead and ordered. It took an amazing 40 minutes for our food to be served. When it came out, the food was delicious. I don't know... More

Very good food and good service. A bit crowded and noisy but we enjoyed our meal and visit. We will definitely consider another visit.

Stopped in for breakfast on the way out to San Francisco and was not a bit disappointed. The portion sizes were huge and everything was very good. The 7-grain granola nut pancakes were especially fantastic! Omelets and breakfast burritos were also enjoyed by others in our party... many great choices available to please all. The freshly squeezed orange juice was... More

We needed to stop somewhere and this was the first place that we spotted. It was busy so seemed popular with the locals. The service was good, waitress was pleasant and the food was plentiful. Price wise it was reasonable, and for diner food it was acceptable. Don't go here for a culinary delight.

We stopped at Black Bear for breakfast on our way to Sonoma Raceway. We needed good grub and lots of coffee. We got both!! We've eaten at numerour BB Diners across the west, and this one was no different. Really good food - decent prices - great service. Breakfast was promptly served, everything was delicous and there was an endless... More

Good place for down home cooking. The serving staff is very friendly. It took a while for all of us to be served, but we had a party of 8. We were seated quickly and drinks were served in a timely manner. Everything looked good and presented well.

We have eaten at the Black Bear Diner numerous times. The servers have always been very nice and attentive. They have always checked on us numerous times throughout our meal. The food has always been good but the portions are huge so be hungry when you go. The sweet cream pancakes are to die for.

My friend and I stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner on the way back home to Sacramento after walking the Golden Gate Bridge. Thought this would be just another coffe shop, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Both of our "fish" dinners were excellent. The accompanying vegetables were outstanding - may go... More
