Organic bread made right there is a high point. Schat's has good "cafe" food: salads, sandwiches, baked goods & Peets coffee. Casual dining, reasonable prices and excellent & organic bread. Wi-Fi and located in the downtown area.

Wonderful find. We loved our ample veggie scrambles with yummy biscuits. So many bakery choices, sweet and savory, with lots of flavor in and on each one. A must stop...plenty of seating to relax with coffee and a bakery goodie any time of the day. We highly recommend and will return before moving on.

This place is absolutely amazing! The best pastries ever. I had the jalapeño and cheese croissant and I really liked how it was filled with jalapeños and cheese and not just on top. The ambiance in here is awesome and service is friendly and fast. We also had the garden burrito and the light California bagel. Both delicious. If you're... More

Had a hard time finding it - it's inside Friedman's Hardware! Stopped here on our way out of town and couldn't get just one - got sticky buns, bear claws and cinnamon rolls for the road! Oh my, great snacking while hiking the redwoods!!

We stopped here twice during a trip to and from northern California, once for morning nibbles and the second time for lunch. Great food. Great baked goods. The service is a bit disorganized but they make up for the confusion with lots of friendly treatment. I enjoyed the best reuben sandwich I have ever had in my life. We bought... More

Try the walnut raisin bread and/0r the oatmeal raisin cookies! This is a family owned bakery which we first discovered in Bishop, CA. They now have stores in Reno and Carson City, and to our pleasant surprise, in Ukiah! Yummy!

Stopped here for pastries, sandwiches and cookies before getting back on the road. The bran muffins were blue ribbon quality, and they serve Peet's Coffee. There is much to choose from, the interior design is pleasant, and service was friendly and quick. There were handy cafe tables outside for folks like us traveling with a dog. By 2pm when we... More
