A Tustin gem! To begin, the atmosphere inside the place prepares your palate for a delicious Japanese meal. I've been to Japan many times, and Honda Ya definitely gives off a Japan-like vibe. Their menu has a variety of classic Japanese dishes and even some that most places don't serve.Whether you want a full meal or hangout with friends, drink... More

Want your yakitori AND sushi fix? Then come on down to Honda-Ya! With plenty of parking space and a vast selection of food, this place takes the cake for anyone craving authentic Japanese cuisine. We went on a weekday night, so there was no wait and no line. The restaurant is a smaller size and very Japanese style, so I... More

I absolutely love this place and so does everyone else. Get here early or you'll be waiting over an hour for a table. Try the "Stinky Roll" a garlic lovers dream!

On my second visit to California in a year, I stopped by with my family to have dinner. We were 12 in order in the waiting list, Yet managed to get in in about 25 minutes. The food was fantastic. (Same as the first time I visited year ago). If you do not know what to order, get the dishes... More

for fear you too will become a regular. It is already very popular. And you know it is authentic because so many of the guests are Japanese speaking. Excellent with a wide variety of dishes with a menu in both English and Japanese. Obviously, a clear favorite for lots of folks.

I am not sure what everyone is talking about..but this is NOT authentic Japanese izakaya place. The chicken yakitori I got were dry. If they were fresh, the meat would be flavorful but it was not. After the all, this is Tustin so I guess I should have not have high expectation.

We've been going to Honda Ya for about 10 years now and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, whether you order the yakitori, sushi or ramen, we always enjoy our meal. Wait time to be seated can be up to an hour if you don't get there early to write your name on the list.

I eat out alot, probably about 5 times a week for the past 10 years or so. Hondaya is easily my most visited place. Although it can be a little pricey when you factor in alcohol, the quality of the food is great, the staff is more than friendly, and the atmosphere is very casual but still classy. Hondaya has...
