This place is dirty, over-priced and does not even resemble any type of actual "Japanese" cuisine. My food smelled like a dirty dishwasher and had obviously been pre-made earlier that day and sitting around for quite some time. Not healthy, not sushi, not good.

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, but I've been coming here for three years, always with friends and have never been disappointed with food or service. Always great! I've had sushi from coast to coast and this is above the norm. Very fair prices and an amazing quantity of food.

We had lunch at this place , the chef was Japanese so we aspected a decent meal Sushi were lots of rice with very little filling , very boring to eat and I could not finish the plate Pptstickers were fried in oil , they should bin steamed and a few seconds on the grillplate Not eateble Chicken teriyaki was... Tried to order a Kyoto Bento that comes with cucumber salad. Wanted to PAY EXTRA to have seaweed salad instead of the cucumber salad. The rude cashier called the owner and asked her if I could pay the difference for a seaweed salad and the OWNER says "No. We can't do that. " They lost a steady customer because they... More

We usually just get Bento boxes and the food is consistently good. Yesterday we tried tsunami roll....awesome! I think food is a little pricey but it's good and portions are large. I eat at Healthy Japan sites in Visalia. Wish the one by COS was open on Sundays.

I eat at the healthy japan in visalia and service and food is always top notch. This one, workers were unsure of which food was which, still got my order wrong after 25 min and I wasnt the only one. Seems like workers arent trained. For the money expect better than mcdonalds service and food.

I do like the food at Healthy Japan, but I wish the owners were a little more attentive to the staff practices. If you arrive at 7:30 p.m. (closing is at 8:30 p.m.), you will witness the closing process early! Not a practice that one should habitually follow, but if you come in later in the evening - say a... Came here today and wish I would have taken a picture of my sushi roll. There was SOO SOO much rice and a tiny little roll in the middle. So I pretty much had a rice roll with a dash of tuna and shimp. So after i took off the extra rice the roll was good. The fish tasted fresh... More

I really like Healthy Japan. The food is good & choices are many! I recommend their teriyaki chicken highly! I'm not doing back flips over the sushi but it is decent. The price point is a bit high but it is my favorite restaurant in Tulare.

This is probably the worst sushi I've ever had and this place only survives because there is such a lack of options in the area. Pros: Lots of parking. Cons: The sushi. There's nothing healthy about it. Their prices are average, but the sushi is below-average. They have teriyaki rolls, fried and chicken rolls, no real (fresh fish) options. I... More
