Solid American fare

It's not going to blow you away with the setting, but its good solid American food. Very large portions, very tasty food - served quickly. A good neighborhood diner sort of place.

I had dinner at this restaurant before game time and I have to say the hostess sat us down fast, the service was great and we received our meal in a timely manner. Our server, albeit on the young side, served us like she was a seasoned server. Our salads were chilled and not skimpy, our main dish arrived in... More

I was happy to hear no reservations were needed and they were open until 11:00 as I was driving from Southern California and had no idea when I would get there. I know I would like the place when I... More

Black Bear has been a family favorite for several years now. There are several in the San Joaquin Valley but we most frequently go to the one in Tulare.
