Ask to sit in the back Patio!

We went for a casual dinner on a Saturday night. We decline the offer of sitting at a table in front (street side) and asked if there was room on the patio. There was, and that was a good choice for us. Good service, good service food, reasonable prices. Had an after dinner drink at the bar... read more

Dined alone on the patio as I was in town for business. Weather was perfect, as was the laid back blues music playing on the stereo. Started with taro chips and a fig spinach hummus. Very tasty starter. Decided on tomato soup served en croute, along with a small garden salad. $20 before tip. Not inexpensive but I was pleased... More

On a Friday night it was very crowded and VERY noisy. We had to wait about 30 minutes for our reservation so the waiter gave us a free drink -- that's very nice, and the Deschutes IPA was wonderful, as was the old-fashion. Our table was in the quieter dining room and in the corner so my friends and I... More

Dined at Moody's earlier this week and had a very enjoyable meal. The atmosphere is very lively (maybe a little too noisy in the main dining room), but fun for a vacation spot. The food was really excellent. We started by sharing the Shishito peppers. If you like peppers and haven't tried these they are a treat. Semi-spicy small green... More

Great food! I rarely order chicken in a restaurant but decided to take our server's advice and have the Chicken Roulade. My moans of pleasure meant I had to let everyone at the table taste it and then continue to fight them off as they came back for more. Others were equally happy with the Pasta Campanelle, Cheeseburger and Veal... More

I am celiac, and asked for a menu recommendation. Server went and got someone who tried to warn me that this might not be the restaurant for me, as they can't guarantee things getting in the air. (Like they are different from any other restaurant I eat in?) Then they tried to push me to eat the quinoa dish which... More

We were referred to Moody's by a friend and decided to check it out during our weekend in Truckee. I made a last minute reservations directly from the Trip Advisor app on my phone and was able to secure a reservation at 830pm, an hour and a half prior. We were not sure if they were pet friendly and decidedly... More

We came here after an afternoon exploring the Sierras. Truckee is a beautiful little town with a lot of choices for really good restaurants. There is patio, bar and dining room seating available here. We opted for indoor seating as the patio was in the direct sunlight when we were there. Others really enjoyed the patio though. Service was good,... More

Relaxing atmosphere. Not rushed. Eclectic and creative menu with fresh ingredients. Didn't think the service was slow. Allowed you to enjoy the courses.

Very busy place but food was very tasty. Service good given the packed house. Live entertainment. The place doubles as a lively nighttime bar scene.
