Good food, easy atmosphere

Had lunch and dinner here while waiting for our passengers to show up at the Truckee airport. Nice menu, fast and attentive service and the food was fresh and tasted great. Large portions. Sat outside for lunch and inside for dinner, as it was quite warm in the late afternoon. My only... read more

I met my family for an early dinner and since we had never been to this restaurant decided to try it. The beer was good, service good, menu offered a nice variety and food good, prices reasonable. While this restaurant was nothing special, it was a overall positive experience and I would consider returning.

After a round of golf we decided to try 50-50 for lunch. Most of reviews stated the food was good but the service was slow. Well, you mainly go for the food, right? Being a brewery they do have a good selection of local beers. The three of us sat down and ordered some beers. Took about 10-15 minutes to... More

Its a three star review, with an extra star for how great the beer is. We arrived Saturday Night on Memorial Day Weekend, we were seating instantly, we got flights (to try everything!), fried zucchini, I got mussels as an entree and my husband got three fish tacos (two would have been WAY MORE than enough, they're huge, but served... We came about 8 years ago when it first opened and were 2 of 8 in the whole restaurant. It was OK, but not good enough for us to return...and we are in the Lake Tahoearea a lot. On a very rainy Saturday we returned and almost couldn't find a seat at 2:30. We began with the fried zucchini and... More

We were driving through Truckee on a trip from wine country with our GSD. We chose the brewing company because they were dog friendly. They have a pretty patio that was sunny on the day we came through. We really enjoyed the yellowfin fish sandwich and glass of dry white wine (my husband liked the beer but the ones I... More

My wife and I had represented our winery at a tasting event held in conjunction with the Best of Tahoe Chefs held at the Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe and were returning home to Western Nevada County via Truckee and Interstate 80. It had rained the entire day and was cold and damp; the kind of weather custom made for a... More

Working in the area, wanted a place to have dinner, and, based upon the reviews here, went to 50/50 expecting a typical brew pub, but the experience was not what I have found at other brew pubs. Possibly it is trying to be a Tahoe type place serving those coming up from the Bay Area, as it was a little... More

The food fresh, service was very good and large beer selection. Not for foodies. We would definitely eat there again. The ribs are right up there.

All of their beer is pretty good, but the thing they specialize in is barrel aged porters. Food is standard bar/brewery fare and totally acceptable. Service is friendly and informed. It's a spot I hit up a couple times a month at least.
