It's good, but loud with a crowd

Ate here our first night in Truckee (I mistakenly said that was Marg's in my Marg's review-- we ate lunch at Marg's, not dinner-- sorry!). We were staying next door at Hotel Truckee-Tahoe (now a Best Western) so it was nice not having to drive anywhere after a day of travel. The place was packed... read more

Boyfriend and I really enjoyed this place. He's a vegetarian and there were ample options, including the fantastic eggplant starter and zested edamame. The handroll I tried was tasty as well as the shanghai noodles. Server was super friendly and attentive, decor was nice (every establishment in Tahoe has to have their jumbo photos of sunsets over the lake evidently).... More

Sushi was great, as was the service! Close to many of the places to stay in Truckee. Visited on a Monday evening and the place was surprisingly busy, but service was still top notch.

Very busy and a long wait, considering our party of four didn't have a dinner reservation. However, the food was delicious and the service was really great.

A Japanese fusion in Truckee with excellent and eclectic menu selections, good brews and very friendly help. Moderate prices. A terrific place we return to often.

This place was hoping when I went and it was hard getting a seat. Personally I didn't like the food. Didn't seem fresh. I am not sure why it was so busy. Won't try again

Our family of four loves Drunken Monkey. The little kids (5 and 10) get the generous portion of Kid's Noodles and add tofu or chicken. We always start with the calamari and follow it up with sushi. We've never tried the other dishes and we can't comment on those. (If it ain't broke...) We tend to avoid DM during crowded... More

First it's a little hard to figure out where to enter. Then the waitstaff ignored us. Our party of six stepped into the bar area (3 steps to the left) where the staff seemed more interested in their phones then their customers. We left without any contact from the staff.
