If you crave Japanese while in the Tahoe area, this will satisfy it. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back!
This is our favorite sushi restaurant. We are frequent visitors, especially during ski season. I love the dressing on their bonsai salad and the sea steak. My husband usually gets the Heath and Annie rolls. The sesame chicken is also really good. The prices are a little more than most sushi restaurants, but we find the food consistent. I only... More
Like many Japanese restaurants these days, Mikuni is all about the rolls. Unfortunately, their rolls are nothing special. The sashimi and the spicy edamame are good. But the waitstaff push the rolls. Too bad.
We are frequent customers of the Mikuni restaurants in Sacramento and Elk Grove. The food quality is not as good, but the portions are bigger and the service is quick. They did make a few mistakes, that is the reason for the 4 stars.
Stopped in for lunch, sat outside, enjoyed the vibrant scene of Northstar. Rolls were inventive and fresh. The Puff Daddy appetizer is Tempura Shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and some sort of a crazy-good creamy sauce. We ordered a second round. Enjoy!
Just as good quality and service as the Mikuni's in Roseville, CA. We love the seaweed salad. Can get busy so make reservations for dinner. Brad & Joey Villa 1302 Villa La Estancia, Nuevo Vallarta

The wait staff was fantastic and really made it fun for my 10 year old. The food was quite good and fresh tasting.
We all enjoyed our meal. I had teriyaki salmon which was very good. My kids tried various rolls. The grand kids were able to choose two items plus rice. Service was very good too.
Ate here on New Year's Eve. It's crazy busy and they don't take reservations. You have to leave your name and come back. The food was good. Very loud - like any other fun sushi place. If I ever found myself at North Star again, I would eat there again.
Three families with a total of 7 kids set up in the back patio area which was great. We ordered rolls, scallops and they had a great kids menu with teryaki chicken. Our waitress was attentive and patient from the start, wish I had remembered her name. the food came as it was ready and it was tasty. It was... More
