Another quality find thanks to Tripadvisor

Found this little gem while headed up the coast. TripAdvisor reviews led us to the place. We were not disappointed. Lunch was great, the service was excellent. Wish I lived in that town I would eat there every day!

High Trip Advisor reviews led us north from Eureka on Memorial Day this last week and the wait for lunch encouraged us that it would be terrific. Not so much. It wasn't bad, and my husband like the clam chowder a great deal, but my avocado/bacon/tomato sandwich was just okay and the tiny fries tasted of the oil they were... More

Stopped in this place with my wife and young son after a long day at the beach. The seafood was amazing starting with crab cakes and then a seafood platter with calm chowder. Everything was fresh and the quality was a much needed welcome to the food we had in redding and eureka. Keep it up and probably see you... More

This restaurant has been known for its clam chowder bread bowl for years. I tried it again a few days ago, and it was terrific. Creamy, white, thick clam chowder in a delightful package. Truly yummy. Give it a try.

Hello, Javan49. Thank you for taking the time to review our clam chowder bowl. We make it fresh each day so every bowl is as good as the last. Your TripAdvisor profile doesn't state from where you hail, so we're hoping you are close enough to come back again soon! Until we see you again, goodness be yours. More

We had the clam chowder, crab salad and the flat iron steak. They were all great! We tried some local wine from Oregon and it was nice. The best was last when we ordered the homemade blackberry cobbler and ice cream!

HI, Tiffany and BJ! Thanks for the great pictures that accompanied your TripAdvisor review! Looks like you two had the full culinary treatment, including our Blackberry Cobbler. We have jokingly called it a "Whole Body Experience" - the kind of dish one might enjoy with abandon. We appreciate the praise and will pass your kudos along to our staff. Hope... More

Janny and I met a couple at a Pony Express history site in the desert of Nevada. We told them we would be traveling on the coast. They told us a must dine place is The Eatery in Trinidad, CA. My information is dated but after reading recent reviews remains accurate. I owned The Freshwater Store from 1976 to 1978. The store was built in 1886 and was a fantastic experience. I went by once more in 1993 while returning from Seattle. I was coming home to Texas after my daughter Emily had a bone marrow transplant at The Swedish... More
