Seafood is the main attraction here and everybody loves it! My husband had the fish and chips (they also have champagne shrimp and chips) which he said were delicious. Taking a trip up from Eureka and found the Trinidad Bay Eatery. What drew us here? The Cobbler baby! We shared calamari as an appetizer and then had the clam chowder in a bread bowl. Calamari was good, not great. Clam chowder in a bread bowl was as good as anything I've had in San Francisco. Definitely gonna have that... More

My experience at The Eatery July 31, 2015 11am. It's a neat little place with a friendly staff that was highly recommended by friends in Trinadad. Prices are high, but it is on the Pacific Coast. Chicken sandwich and the fish and chips were way overcooked. Maybe they were having a bad day or I chose the wrong. I'm sure... More

Hi, adventurebikemike... Gosh, this is not the kind of experience associated with us. That said, we would have made any issue with your service right if we could have learned of your displeasure at the time of occurrence. We have a process that is right every time; however, inasmuch as everything is cooked to-order, not precooked and reheated or not... More

Great chowder and the ahi poke was UNDER PRICED! I would have gladly paid top dollar for the ahi poke appetizer but it was not expensive at all. The main course was fantastic as well. I had the Cioppino but couldn't finish everything. I left full and happy.

My husband and I ate there on 8-22-15, They were a little busy, but it was lunch time. My husband had the clam chowder and still has't stopped talking about it. The fish sandwich was also good. I had the calamari and fries. There was so much calamari that I was ignoring the fries until I'd finished it. The fries... More

Kitschy and cozy little restaurant in beautiful Trinidad. We had brunch (breakfast is served until noon). The food (2+2+2 eggs, french toast, and bacon; California Eggs Benedict; and Breakfast Quesadilla) was delicious and the portion sizes were huge. The coffee was hot and tasty. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We are only in Trinidad for two more days,... More

Nice small restaurant with good service. The fish and chips are excellent. They sell many varieties of fudge in the adjoining gift shop/art gallery. It's really good! The only knock on this restaurant is the "no substitutions" on the menu. I suppose it's because Trinidad has only 300 or so permanent residents, so repeat customers probably aren't important. We did... More

Hi, Gene Y... We certainly appreciate your return business and do everything we can to bring a wonderful dining experience for each guest. Part of that experience is having our Chef staff prepare specials each night in addition to a vast menu of regular dishes. I don't know the specificity of your substitution; however, to keep our kitchen flowing well... More

So good for dinner that we returned the next day for lunch! For dinner Ned had fish & Chips ($17 and made with traditional cod). Ann had crab cakes ($12). The eatery is usually THE place our family chooses to eat at when visiting the California coast. Service has always been great, food always delicious and the blackberry cobbler is heaven on earth. At least that part hasn't changed. The food is still good but the service was far from it. Our waitress forgot our drinks, we had to ask... More
