The halibut special was fresh and delicious, and the wine selection was also good. We were in and out quickly, which suited us fine. Would return.

A roadside diner with a little gourmet thrown in. Wait server brought the soup and was surprised we wanted the appetizer first. Then seemed surprised we wanted to share it. The halibut was fresh and good but the portion was small for the money.

We got there on the early side for a Friday night dinner. Had the muscles & calamari as aps- both were very good. The calamari was real good-no grease at all. The halibut special was outstanding. With the elegant presentation of the dishes, I started to feel a little guilty about having our two little kids with us, but that... More

We came across this place for a light dinner as not much else was open. Ceasar salad w/ grilled chicken was good - "homemade" blackberry cobbler was microwave hot & nothing special. Probably wouldn't go back - jus so-so.

Chowder is home-made, thick, and flavorful. Try it served in a bread bowl or just a cup. Although this restaurant is in the scenic, bay/oceanside town of Trinidad, CA, there is no view of the water. Have your chowder then walk a block to the lighthouse for the best views in Humboldt County. We live locally and return to The... More

Dinner was ridiculously good: get the chicken breast in sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and garden-fresh zucchini, with a cup of their rich and creamy clam chowder, and waddle home to your tent or hotel or B&B in total delight

We stopped here for dinner and ordered a very rare burger for him, a shallow-looking "Souper Bowl" of chowder for me (it looked smaller than a bread bowl) and a Caesar salad each. The helpful waiter said the salad was very large and suggested we share it, and we agreed. It was served, with forks, in the middle of the... More

We really appreciate our visitors from Coastal Oregon and are grateful to have had the chance to redeem our serving of your rare hamburger order and glad you enjoyed it. Part of the Trinidad Bay Eatery chowder dining experience is, if you will, to pile it high so that it cascades over the edge of the serving dish; whether it... More

Chowder was ok, calamari ok, crab cakes very good, crab Louie salad good, service over taxed, should have had another server on board to help. Wished it was better.

Thank you Michael for sharing your Trinidad Bay Eatery dining experience. We where caught in a bit of a rush and are sorry it slowed our service to you. I know a great dining experience can be sullied by less than stellar service, so we hope you'll give us another try when you're in the area. We appreciate your business. More
