Decor: A clash of cultures

We had not been here for years. So it was exciting to return to a good eatery. The food is still excellent. The ribs and scallops were fine. The service was adequate with some prompting. However the decor which is described as Bohemian is more like a flea market rumble with Christmas lights... read more

This place is amazingly great food. We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal here. They created a special menu for us that gave our guests options. They accommodated 50 people with great service and very homey and warm atmosphere. We went back this last October and it did not disappoint. Whether you want just a great dinner or host an event... While visiting my daughter at Humboldt State University, we went to Larrupin Cafe in Trinidad for dinner. We did not have reservations, but we were seated at a beautiful corner table with a view of the lovely garden area. Although I felt slightly underdressed, we were treated as though we were their most important customers. Our server explained the specials... More

There is always something on the menu a little different, maybe even some things you wouldn't normally eat! I find that fun, this is a great place to enjoy food. Tough choices, there are so many tasty things to try.

I love eating at larrupin, it is real food with a local flair. The patio seating is really nice on a beatiful night. The ambiance and creativity make larrupin really one of a kind

I can't stress how much you have to eat here!!! The stuffed-pork tenderloin I had was unlike any other you will ever eat. My friend ate the blackened snapper was great too - not the blackened style of the south. Service was just as great! Great wine list too! For a couple, couples, dinner with co-workers...

I started eating at Larrupin when it first opened and was located in Westhaven. I feel so lucky that I was able to experience it in its infant stages when it was the very best restaurant I had ever been to. To this day I can say I have not as good a dining experience at a restaurant since then.... More

You can't go wrong with this amazing dining experience. Allow time for a leisurely meal when it is daylight outside, to soak up the beauty of the Redwoods.
