Inside a funny looking house, lies a restaurant for those with gourmet tastes.

When we first pulled up to this place we had been told was "a really good restaurant", I was skeptical. But there were many cars parked outside, I thought "how bad can it be." Was I ever wrong. We hadn't made reservations (big mistake) so we weren't seated at a premier table (although none... read more

We eat out at many different restaurants and use TripAdvisor to help guide us. With this one the reviews didn't measure up to our experience. We were disappointed in the meal in many ways. Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant but the kitchen seemed to cut corners for cost and provided meals at a price that should of brought... More

Welcoming and pleasant service by Laurie who gave us the time and advice we needed for picking the dishes and wines of our favourite taste. The menu was varied enough to cover the wishes of most food lovers. As a starter we truly enjoyed the lightly deepfried brie in thin pastry - both presentation and taste were wonderful. As main... We had reservations, but came early and were seated on the beautiful patio. There was a great jazz trio playing. We had the prime rib with asparagus, the portobello mushroom dish, pork loin and barbecue rib with twice baked potatoes. All entrees came with a wonderful appetizer board. The wine list is good. We wanted to enjoy a special birthday... More

We had dinner at the Larrupin Cafe, it was very busy on a Sunday night, mainly locals or Americans staying in the area. After waiting about 20 minutes we were shown to our table, we had reservations. Unusually, the tables has carpet rugs partially covered with Perspex as tablecloths. Not knowing this cafe we ordered appetisers but the found we... More

Four of us are on vacation in Trinidad to get away from the Arizona heat. This was a great choice for one of our two dinners out and Jesse is a fantastic asset to the restaurant. The food was amazing - apps of brie with figs and apples (YUMMY) and the smooth roasted garlic were great starts. A bit more... More

The restaurant is too cute! Romantic lighting, organic foods, beautiful live flowers everywhere, and lovely food. It is very small, but that adds to its charm. We arrived late so there were many tables available. My husband and I sat outside and were pleasantly surprised by this romantic restaurant. We had travelled all day to get to our bnb in... More

As we drove down the old highway, the redwood trees lining the old road traveling south, we noticed a restaurant on the right side of the highway but did not see a sign. We checked in to our cabin at Bishop Pines in Trinidad and Jane the Innkeeper called Larrupin for me to make reservations. Turns out it was the... More

To say this place was complete chaos would be an understatement. From the moment we entered and were told it would be a few minutes for our reservation (meanwhile they sat three groups that came in AFTER us), to the "here's your bottle of wine, pour your own glasses because I'm too busy" attitude of our waitress (and yes, she...
