we ate at Larrupin 2 days in a row. It was that good! Dry rubbed Steelhead with a wasabi butter sauce, blacked snapper with aoli, chocolate pecan pie with butter rum sauce, and more. Most entries are grilled over mesquite. The atmosphere is unique. To me it had a New Orleans Vodoo flare. It was decorated, very tastefully for Halloween.... More

We have a cabin in Weaverville and come to Trinidad every year for a long anniversary weekend. We mainly come because we yearn to have dinner at the Larrupin. The food is fresh and perfectly prepared and service is always excellent so is the outdoor setting and eclectic ambiance indoors. Make sure you are hungry, the portions are quite large.... More

After a whole day hiking in the Redwoods we were starving and realized we'd forgotten to reserve a place for dinner. We called Larrupin's on the off chance there might be an opening. We were told the whole downstairs dining area and gardens had been booked months ago for a wedding party but if we'd leave our name and #... More

The food was fresh, from local growers, and prepared and served beautifully. The service was great, wine was great. I would go back again and again.

Had a late dinner here upon arrival to our B&B. They were very crowded but service was good. WIne list was good, and food was good. We sat on the back patio which was nice with really cool patio heaters and a live band that was really great not too loud and very talented.

Since my wife and I had the opportunity to "discover" this on our own, I will attempt to inspire you but not give too much away. I'll just say this; perfect. Perfect decor, perfect weather (we dined on the patio), perfect music from Dog Bone, a trio that brings some kind of Angelo Badalamenti/Steely Dan hybrid and perfect service from... More

We were surprised to find a restaurant of this caliper in such a small town location. Wonderful ambiance, we sat on the patio. No full bar but has an extensive wine list and creative food dishes. Service was excellent!

I had heard about this place before we stayed in Trinidad for a few days and I thought it was most likely way overrated, or perhaps it was the best restaurant in the area, but couldn't compare to a good restaurant in SF or NY. I live in Manhattan and I've been to quite a few nice places. This place... More

We went to Larrupin for our anniversary dinner. It was a second trip for me and a first for my husband. We ordered the Baked Brie, and Stuffed Portabella for appetizers and both were excellent. For dinner we had the Brisket that came highly reccomended and was served with a local chevre mashed potato, sooooooo good!!!! We also got the... More
