We went for our anniversary dinner, and were not impressed. The brisket (which in the past had been lovely, tender, smoky & sweet) was dry, cloyingly sweet, and kind of overdone. The baked brie appetizer was good, but could have used some crostini or something - the brie was from Costco, as were the gouda & cheddar on the appetizer... More

we have been going to Larrupin for years. It is a nice close to home getaway. The food is always yummy and they have a good wine selection. The last time we were there on a Friday they had live music that truly set the mood without preventing conversation.

It's not "LA food with LA prices". The Larrupin is GREAT food at a great price! Portions are plenty big, the food is well presented and very tasty. Great service! People talk about the funky furniture and setting but frankly I never noticed. It's great food - stop looking and start eating!

Hard to believe this place exists in such a remote place. Trinidad is a spectacular place to visit in its own, but that is another review. Larrupin is a couple miles north of town on the old stagecoach road. No ocean view, and not much to get excited about from outside. But once inside, you are whisked away to a... More

We went recently to Trinidad for our anniversary getaway. Had reservations at Larrupin for the first night, mostly from a recommendation from friends and the fact that they provided music on Sunday nights. From the outside it's not remarkable, but inside the decorations, though eclectic, are beautiful. Cannot say enough about the food. It was beyond wonderful. So much that... More

We own the Sea Cliff Motel and refer guests there frequently and in over 11 years we have never had negative feedback from guests we referred there. My wife and myself have no business arrangement nor any inducements of any kind to refer guests here, we do it because we believe it may be the best restaurant in the county.

Who knew!? Did not expect to have such excellent food and service on our Redwoods road-trip. We didn't have reservations, but called the restaurant who said they'd seat is if we were there in 15 min (it was about 5p), we hustled from the Trinidad Trading Post and drove up to a charming house. Interior decor eclectic - but it... More

If you want an excellent slow food experience this IS IT. Our server was Dusty and she was so friendly. We had lots of questions because of food allergy concerns and she was beyond helpful. We had one of the best meals we have ever had. Get there early if you can or call ahead for the corner window table... More

Larrupin is a charming and rustic little restaurant with a quiet ambiance. It is just off the main road in Trinidad. There is an outdoor patio with water fountains, fire warmers, and some relaxing musicians. The cafe is in a woodland setting located on the edge of the ocean. The staff consists mainly of young female servers and they are... More
