The Larrupin has been a Trinidad destination for many years. It is one of the top choices to bring out of town guests and family. It is a beautiful, inviting restaurant with excellent food, service and ambiance. You can buy Larrupin sauces at local stores and restaurants. I have found it best to go there, however, a few times a... More

All four of us had terrific meals, and our waitress was superb. The decor everywhere is fantastic, with a Chihuly chandelier in the stairwell, and you have to check out both bathrooms! Lots of really nice details thruout the restaurant and with the way the food is prepared and presented. Terrific wine list, no mixed drinks.

The ambiance and food were fantastic! Unfortunately our waitress seemed distracted at best (borderline condescending) which was the only reason my review isn't "excellent." But we didn't let that ruin our night and otherwise had a great experience. Will visit again for sure next time we are in Trinidad, CA staying at the Lost Whale Inn.

This was definitely one of the best meals I have ever had in America. The food was very clean and fresh, which was exactly what I wanted! The decor was also very cool using patterned carpets to spice up the tables. Loved it!

My husband originally from this area. We live and vegas but every time we come back to visit we always go to larrupins. They have he best food and wine salmon is amazing as well as the salad. The sauce is the winner and the goat cheese raspberry dessert is our fav!!! We try to go atleast 2 times while... More

Our Inn keeper recommended Larrupin and we were so glad she did. We didn't make reservations (our bad) but they accommodated us anyway in their lovely garden spot. We were glad for the heaters believe it or not in July. The food was Outstanding! Quite possibly the best steak we have ever had.

Elegant dining in Trinidad. They do their own smoked meats perfectly. The brisket, an uncommon item in a fine restaurant, was extraordinary and left plenty for sandwiches the next day during redwood hikes. Nice cornish hen; the half with accompanying sides is plenty. Quiet, romantic.

Nine of us came to celebrate a dear friend's 50th birthday and everyone agreed it was an amazing experience. We were seated on the patio and kept warm by outdoor heaters; the live music was pleasant, audible, but not so loud as to be distracting; we watched our appetizers being prepared at the outdoor kitchen; our waiter was attentive, punctual,... The restaurant was recommended by the proprietors of the B&B where we stayed, and was located near us (Turtle Bay Inn) and numerous other accommodations on the same road. Every course, whether seas food or beef, was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was charming. Unfortunately for us, there happened to be a large and rather... More

We made a point of reserving here when we came through the area again. Our first visit three years ago was wonderful. This past week was so-so, in my opinion, although my three dinner mates seemed to enjoy their meals more than I did. The cod with asparagus was on the dry side. The smoked beef brisket was dry and...
