I loooove this place. Happy hour with appetizers is the best! Watching the sunset on the water. Delicious food. One of the top places to eat in humboldt!

Great view, over-priced average food. We had the corner table which was touted to be the best view on the West Coast. Indeed it is a world class view. However, the food was disappointing from beginning to end.

I was sorely disappointed in having dinner at Moonstone last night. The view is of course, outstanding, but the food is just factory meats from the Midwest and the vegetables are not local. I think the standard is higher in a place like Humboldt, where we have so many options for locally grown organic vegetables and humanely raised meats. All... More

Awesome view, located on the beach.. Great food ( gourmet) and a happy hour menu that doesn't consist primarily of fried food :) Daniel ,the bartender was awesome and attentive .. He also works at Abruzzi another great restaurant in Nearby Arcata. There is a nice beach to walk at the bottom on the hill under the restaurant.

Loved the crab cakes, salmon and local beer. Service was spotty at first, but the food was worth it.

The owners of Turtle Rocks Inn booked my husband and I a Thanksgiving reservation here. It is definitely pricey, but the food was delicious!

Very good food - probably not worth it if the sun is already down (i.e. no view). Bring a GPS, it's a circuitous route getting there (mine worked just fine though).

Get reservations and don't miss this. The filet was melt in your mouth tender with a superb reduction sauce... the whole meal was wonderful! The view is breathtaking at sunset. Don't miss this place!

Highly recommended. They have a great selection of wine and beer. The food is outstanding. The service was welcoming and friendly. The halibut and kobe beef were perfect.

My wife and I dropped by for happy hour on the last night of our visit to Trinidad. The bar was packed with locals and fellow tourists--and we were quickly in the thick of some interesting and fun conversations. A very welcoming place! The happy hour menu included some delicious Manila clams($5!)--which led quickly to orders of outstanding oysters, seafood... More
