I’ve eaten at Gyu-Kaku several times, for both lunch and dinner. Once was at a location in Vancouver, Canada; the other times were at this location in Torrance. This restaurant is fairly small, and once you’re inside there’s no view of the outside at all, which is probably a good thing since all you’d see is the Torrance Crossroads parking... More

My husband was given a gift certificate for Father's Day and we had a chance to use it with one of our sons, his wife and their 2 1/2 year old daughter, plus our son's mother-in-law - a party of 6 (I know - it's hard to follow!). Luckily, our son and daughter-in-law have gone here enough times to know... More

No place can touch the happy hour here. Great service, great food and portion. $1.50 Sapporo draft during happy hour.

Whenever we are in the neighborhood, we always make a point to stop at Gyu-Kaku and eat some great Korean-style BBQ. Pretty much anything in this place is great, we especially enjoy the steak though. We're often too full for a smore, but every once in a while we get smores as well. Our 8 y.o. loves this place and... More

Went to this place last Sunday for s late lunch, early dinner and it was pretty good, the meat was good, the salmon as well but a bit small. Service was excellent and price was even better.

Gyu-Kaku is the type of place you go with friends to sit around a fire and cook your own food. It is not quiet. For my taste, the food was a bit too salty, but I don't cook with much salt, either. Prices were reasonable especially if you hit during happy hour.

We will not be back. Absolutely horrible in every way except the service. What has the new owner done to this place. It used to be a cute place we would frequent often but this time everything has changed. Quality: poor. Pieces of meat were cut/mangled in various sizes with tiny pieces appearing on the plate with fat not even... More

We have been here many times. We enjoy that we can get in and out quickly since we can cook our own food. The service is always excellent and fast. The servers know what they are doing and can answer any question asked of them, even what is in the sauce of the various proteins served. I have even told... More

I went here for with my family and had the worst time. I had a reservation for 5, but they couldn't seat us until an hour after the reservation time, and when they did finally seat us, it was at a table meant for 4, so we had to add a chair, blocking everyone's way. Nobody was apologetic (hostess was... More
