Pleasant lunch with a friend

Lunch with a friend at Misto's was a very nice experience. The waitress was attentive and the food good with plenty of choices on the menu. Most tables were full, another good sign. I had driven by many times and glad I finally stopped in. There was a local coupon mailed to me which was another... read more

I had lunch with six other friends. We meet monthly at a different restaurant in our area. The waiter was very attentive and friendly and cheerfully waited on our party of seven. He checked on us several times during our lunch to see if needed anything. Our food was prepared promptly and we all agreed that we would like to... More

We went because my friend had a Restaurant.com coupon thru her timeshare and they have a good reputation. The atmosphere is nice, the food is very good, but the service was lousy. The waiters were slow and unfriendly and it was difficult to get their attention even though it was early and the place was not crowded. My fork was dirty and they forgot to... We stopped in to this restaurant for a simple dinner after a movie at the PV Library. It was tucked away in the Hillside village and at first we were not sure it was open...but then we were early. We loved the options on the menu and all the prices were under $20, so we hoped the food was as... More

Since the recent remodel, the quality of the food seems to have stepped back a notch. The Angel Hair Pasta was more like spaghettini. I ordered the entrée with Prawns (more like medium-size shrimp with tails). Although it was stated that in light tomato sauce, it was drenched. I have had this entrée before and it was excellent. The service... More

Misto is a perfect local restaurant. They always have a special. Their food is always delicious. There are many options. Service is always great. Always given the chance to win a free dessert by doing the word scramble. Love that we always figure out the word and enjoy the desert. All the food is good here from the quesadillas to... More

The delicious food and gracious service were a wonderful surprise considering this restaurant is hidden in the back of a small strip mall off a busy hillside thoroughfare. We arrived early (before the posted "open" hour) but were still welcomed warmly by the staff. In addition to the good, hot coffee, we enjoyed the complimentary assortment of baked goods. Our... Misto is a great restaurant. The only problem is that the location is in the back of a dying strip mall type plaza. Food items are good and it is a lunchtime favorite for business meetings. 2 small seating areas make for a quaint atmosphere.

Used to go here many years ago and tried it on a whim for lunch. Just ordered salads as we felt that they really didn't have fresh blue crab or BBQ beef that wasn't pre-made by a company. I ordered southwestern chicken salad but was told no jicama. There is a grocery store about 1/2 mile away that someone should... More

Having lived in the South Bay area of Los Angeles for over 30 years, I thought I should review some restaurants we always go to. Our number one go-to restaurant is Misto, usually on a Friday evening. Casual, charming, great wait staff, and some truly stellar menu items that remain favorites since the restaurant opened what seems like 20 years... More
