Izakaya paradise

It was well worth the hassle of a 1hr. Drive from Santa Monica down to Torrance. Torihei is as authentic an Izakaya restaurant you can find outside of Japan. 6 of us ate about 30% of the menu and we were pleased with every dish. It has tables or you can sit at the bar. Its basically an a la carte menu served with plenty of pitchers of beer! Its in... More

Great service along with good food. It did feel like if I was at a yakitori place in Japan, but with more room and personal space. Would return if I was in the neighborhood again

Dining as a big group is a long wait but you can leave and come back at an assigned time. Staff is polite and friendly, service is great despite being busy. Their Yakitoris are one of the best ever - chicken skin, liver, heart, gizzard, and others. Really really good!

The restaurant is fairly small, with a counter and the kitchen to the left and tables to the right. There’s a huge television on the... More
