Good food & great service

Great time at William Tell House on a Wednesday night with 10 family members. Marcos, the owner, was our host & server, he was short staffed at the last minute. He is a delightful man who is full of stories & history of this very old pub\restaurant. He has renovated the dining area, keeping the bar... read more

What an experience , we stumbled on this place and what a pleasant surprise, we ate delicious oysters at the bar, the staff and owner were friendly and shared the history of the place with us, the chef is a big man with a bigger heart who knows how to cook , I look forward to going back soon.

I used to live a few miles from here on Pepper rd. We used to go here quite often for the prime rib dinners. Best cut of meat ever! It's a huge slab at least an inch thick! Wonderful place to bring the family or friends. Great local hangout also at the bar. This place is over 100 years old.... More

My family is from the area, so we've eaten here about a half dozen times. Cozy place, with nice small town service. Last visit the food was much better than a year before. I had plump, fried shrimp and my wife had local fresh raw oysters. This is oyster and cow country and it is their speciality.

We had a spare night between Lake Tahoe and Carmel and thought we would try the PCH north of San Francisco. We followed our noses and ended up in Tomales, having been taken by the look of the hotel there, The Continental Inn. They recommended this restaurant, literally 30 feet away. What a find. One walks through a really traditional... More

Made welcome from the moment we stepped thru the door. Locals seemed like old friends within a very short time. We had T Bone and it was cooked to perfection. Love to visit again.

A real local pub atmosphere. We played dice games and had a great time. Food is ok but not special. Friendly hosts

My partner and I chose the William Tell House quite by random while out on a road-trip exploring Highway 1 out of San Fran. It looked friendly and inviting, and so it proved to be. It's two for one - with a restaurant on one side of the ground floor and a bar along the rest. The bar is friendly... More

We were staying at the Continental Inn in Tomales. The William Tell House had been closed for a bit but our luck was good and they opened the day we arrived. We had dinner there alone in dinning room. My hamburger was over the top and his steak was perfect. Will go back for sure. PS: Bakery across the street... More
