Can't beat the setting and the happy memories

Dining at Sam’s is always a special trip down memory lane for us because 49 years ago we celebrated our first wedding anniversary here as very, very young married students at the University of California at Berkeley. Now we were celebrating our 50th anniversary and everything was delightful... read more

I've eaten here many times, this visit as usual fit the craving. The food here is always yummy and cocktails to compliment. I had the pablano pepper and egg dish. It was very tasty. It was a bit chilly, so we ate indoors. Sams has a wonderful deck and it's a great place to spend an afternoon on a warm... More

Had a good meal. The hamburger was good, not great, and the calamari was also good, but would have been better with a more subtle crust. It was a bit greasy and overcooked.

Our first time there, very quaint setting, dine inside or out. Outside has heaters for cool days. Great Eggs Benedict over Crab Cakes! Just the kind of breakfast I wanted when at the waters edge. We had reservations since we went on Mothers Day. Food was excellent. Waiter was a bit busy but did alright. Could watch the sailboats come... More

This is a long time fixture in Tiburon. A great place with tons of tables, a view of the Marina and excellent snacks and food. So good is it that the staff are all very skilled in chasing away the gulls who try and muscle in on the food. A fantastic place.

We visited after being recommended here. First off parking, finding a spot then everything is paid parking. The hostess was great it was chilly so we say inside by the windows staring atraight across to city. We ordered drinks. Very ordinary for $12. Ordered calamari xtra crispy was great. Food shall portions but good. What would cost u 50-60 anywhere... More

Looks like we could've wowed you more, Kaila, and I appreciate you letting us know. We base our prices on the quality of the ingredients we use and the care we put into each dish -- but of course, we'd always want the taste to be worth it! I hope you'll consider joining us again for a happy hour someday.... More

Don't round out your SF experience without visiting Sam's Cafe - a staple of the area for the last 30+ years. When the sun is shining and the drinks are flowing, they serve tasty food to savor while taking in the amazing, sweeping views of the Bay and SF skyline.

We like Sam's. As a new local to the area the location is great and the staff are generally friendly and attentive. However the food is nice, but average, I think it's more the place you'd go to enjoy the view with drink and a light bite. I'd definately recommend going here with friends and family though. We were last... More

Glad you could enjoy a sunny afternoon with us -- and welcome to the area! Also, I'm really sorry that that incident put a damper on your evening. I completely understand why it would be off-putting, so thanks for bringing it to my attention! Can you please tell me what exact day you were in so I can follow through... More

We enjoyed a very pleasant late lunch here after returning from Angel Island. The food was good and service friendly and good, too. It has great indoor or outdoor seating.

Sam's has long had the best view North of the Golden Gate, but the food has improved over the years. I had not been for years and was not disappointed. The view is still magnificent but the indoor seating which in the past was somewhat of an after thought is very comfortable. We sat indoors by the window and enjoyed... More
