Good Food

This is a great little place. The food is good at a reasonable price. The salsa here is really good and they will give you all you want. Nothing fancy about the decor, but that adds to the charm of this place.

Not too much authentic here but good American Mexican food. Have been coming here for almost 20 years and it never disappoints I just wish they were more authentic in their food offerings.

When on holiday I don't eat I the same place twice - going to make an exception with this one and go again tomorrow. Best homemade salsa ever, they make it with fresh ground green jalapeños! Whoa fantastic! Main courses delivered bang on, will be posilt for choice tomorrow night but will keep you posted!

Went there for dinner and had a couple of carnitas tacos. The meat was long, stringy, dry and tough. The worst carnitas I ever had. The refritos were soupy, and the rice, well who could mess up rice. Pretty disappointing, and I won't be going there again.

OK, look, California leads the nation in Mexican restaurants per capita (that's my guess). And 99% are very predictable with the same old rice, frijoles, and borderline fare (pun intended) that ranges from Sysco to muy autentico. Since discovering an El Salvadoran delicacy/staple called: "puposa" a few years ago in LA, I've made it a quest to find and sample... More

The food is fair by local standards, but as for good Mexican food, it falls short. I have been there three times hoping to experience some good, authentic Mexican food. I will wait another 6months or so. If they are still in business, I will try it again. The best dish I had was the Chilli Relleno. The rice is... More

Charleys Says - try the pupusas. This is a dish from San Salvador and it is wonderful for a light lunch of dinner. One of these and a chili Verde tostada was wonderful for me on my last visit. Simple, small, hidden in Templeton and worth the stop!
