This restaurant NEVER disappoints!

The food is fresh and flavorful. They have the BEST steak and everything has such a twist. The jambalaya pasta is my favorite! The wine list features some of the BEST local wines, and the desserts are to DIE for. What also makes this place wonderful is the impeccable service. The wait staff is... read more

WOW. This was a pleasant surprise for a late dinner. We were pleasantly greeted and seated in a nice booth. It was about 8:30 when we arrived and they close at 9:00 but we were never rushed. 2 more parties were actually seated after us and they received the same warm attention. We opted for 2 starters since we'd had... More

We have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions and other than the occasional high noise level always enjoy our meal. Waitstaff are very good and seem to work well together. Very nice marinated vegetable plate to start along with artisan breads. Love the seasonal items on menu such as currently the grilled fig with goat cheese and prosciutto salad. Grilled... More

Another great lunch at McPhees. The only thing that would have been better would have been a big glass of wine from their great list! The oak grilled Opah tostada was amazingly smokey, tender and delicious. This is consistently one of the best restaurants in the county

We visited McPhees on the recommendation of our B&B host, a little organic farm & cottages, and it was terrific in all regards. The Ancho Chile Apricot Jam Glazed Thick Cut Pork Chop was delicious. This was our second trip to McPhees and it will be part of our routine every time we visit the Central Coast.

I was in town and went back to McPhee's two nights in one week (Two different groups of people.) I still don't get the hype. The place has a chuck wagon atmosphere with some really basic food. I tried to change up the dishes I had to see if I had just ordered the wrong thing. Nothing here is exciting.... More

Have been going here for over 20 years now and its always excellent. It can get noisy at times and is definitely pricey but oh so good. If you haven't been there for Sunday brunch, check it out!

My husband and I ate at McPhee's last Friday to celebrate the end of a wonderful trip for our 40th anniversary. We had brought a Tulley Winery zinfandel and our wonderful waitress was spot on in recommending appetizers and main dishes that would go well with that wine. We shared a duck and cheese (with many other ingredients) quesadilla and... More

We stayed at an Airbnb en suite on Vintage Road in Templeton and came here for dinner. The restaurant has a very warm feel to it and the staff is very friendly. We had the artichoke, a pizza and then the yummy dessert. Templeton has a very hometown nature to it. We went to the Farmer's Market on Saturday a.m.... More

Paso Robles is a city loaded with really good restaurants, and yet when you talk to the locals, they all suggest driving to McPhee's Grill, "just a couple miles down the road." Driving south from Paso on the 101, you hit the town of Templeton in under ten minutes; McPhee's is about a mile off the highway, in the center... More
