I have been going to McPhees since he opened the doors. It never dissapoints. From the attentive service - you know the kind, empty plates dissapear but you don't notice because they are that good. Our server knew her stuff and was helpful and friendly. My favorite appetizer EVER is the Tempura Shrimp dish. Sometimes, I order it as a... More

I have been here twice; the first time many years ago. First the good stuff… Our table for 10 was ready when we arrived. We were promptly seated. The owner/chef was there with smiles and greetings. The service was superb: knowledgeable, timely, friendly. The food was very good. But… is there an identity crisis going on? Is this the place... More

Yes, it is delicious and generous. And it is a bit odd to be so good (and so expensive) in a decidedly low-brow location. Service was excellent and very friendly. I felt like I was cared for like an in-law they liked. But I couldn't get past the town's appearance. They had cattle yards as you drove in off the... More

Wonderful service and food. Wonderful food on menu with a fabulous wine selection. Felt like it was somewhere that I go to each weekend.

My husband and I shared the porterhouse steak. 32 ounces - which seems crazy! But my guess is that it was 16-20 ounces of meat and rest was bone. Perfect amount and perfectly cooked! Asian salad and Gemma salads were unique and very tasty. 4 others in our party and every one was pleased.

The service was excellent and the food was prepared very well. The quality of the food was exceptional. The portions are average to small, and it's WAY overpriced. You will not getting a bad meal here, it's just not a great value.

We stopped here for lunch while touring the Paso Robles wineries. We had eaten here many years ago, shortly after Ian McPhee moved his restaurant from Cambria. It is sort of a mandatory stop if you spend any time in the area. The building is an old square affair that looks its age. Inside, the ceiling is covered in copper,... More

Always have to go to McPhee's when we are in town. Great food, wine, and ambiance. Charming town which is growing every time we visit. Fun to stop in the hardware store next door too!

This is my favorite hometown restaurant. They recently put in a pizza oven! You must try the "pig and fig". This is my go to place for birthdays, holidays or just lunch! Never disappointed.
