Wonderful Experience

Cafe Champagne in the Thornton Winery in Temecula is a lovely spot for lunch. It is especially nice to bring someone to the winery who is not familiar with the Temecula area. I entertained a cousin and her husband from Canada. They had no idea that the Temecula area was noted for wine. We began... read more

Rude and surly staff. Made reservations online via their website for Christmas day lunch. Arrived on time only to be turned away citing online reservations were not valid! We has biked there from our downtown hotel. The staff made no effort to help us find other places to go on christmas day...it was devastating!

With a vineyard backdrop and a fountain in the background, this makes for a nice place to stop for brunch. The quality of the food is good, the portion sizes are reasonable, and the staff were friendly - ok it's not the cheapest, but we stopped for a birthday brunch and it's a nice memory to take away from Temecula.

Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Really beautiful setting in the courtyard. Wait staff decked out, prompt service. Then the menu. Really expensive bar food. $20 for a hamburger. Lots of stuff on the burger, but it was a dry as a chicken breast. Fries were interesting and pretty good. Wife had a Rueben and Onion rings, same price.... More

This isn't a full review because we only had an appetizer, but it was one of the best baked brie we have ever had! Drizzled with honey & nuts, it was most interesting & very delicious.

I stopped at the Thornton Winery on a Sunday for lunch, and found that they have a special Brunch menu on Sundays. While I have eaten here of several prior visits, I had never stopped on a Sunday. I was disappointed since I couldn't get their macaroni and cheese with bacon (which is to die for!). However, I have absolutely... More

Made reservations 2 weeks in advanced and were seated outside in the hot sun eaten alive by flies!! Sad since I had my 85 year old parents. I asked to be moved inside and they said no . Food was terrible! The frittata was burned with 2 small pieces of steak! Hamburgers were dry. Manager did nothing for us. I... More

We chose to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday at cafe champagne. After talking and e-mailing with two people, we were supposed to get a private winery tour and a champagne tasting. I was told to eat inside as it is fancier. When we arrived, they knew it was a birthday celebration, gave my mother a free glass if champagne, but... More

We had been told to eat at this restaurant by many people so we gave it a shot. It's in the Thornton Winery and the signs along the road boasts it has the best burgers in town. Okay, so we didn't try the burgers but the Salad I had was excellent and the Strip Sandwich my husband had was delicious.... More

This was one of the first restaurants we tried after we relocated here from the NE. We love the menu and tapas are always delicious. I usually only drink their champagne because it is so delicious but they have other wines that are also good. We use to attend the Jazz shows with lunch back in the 90's but now... More
