Wine Taste while dining!

We love how Thornton Winery invited us to sit down as they served us our wine tastes, and invited us to dine while we tasted. My hubby's salad was the best salad of the week, and even though the wines were a little light for our taste, we'd return just to enjoy the ambiance and relaxed feel of... read more

In this elegant restaurant, you can sit inside, or enjoy the view of the vineyards outside. My sister & I split a mushroom pasta topped with grilled salmon. It was fabulous, with the mushrooms tasting like they were just picked, and the salmon well grilled to a crust. Be aware there is a $3 fee for splitting a meal, but... More

My husband took me to Temecula for the weekend for my 50th bday. We had so much fun on Friday night at Thornton Cafe Champagne. The food was great, the crowd was lively and about my age (some younger and some older), the band was a Huey Lewis tribute band and they were AMAZING! We had such a wonderful night.... More

This restaurant sits on the beautiful Thornton Winery. We live nearby in the winter and have gone there often in the past. We quit going because the service had not been good in the past. Slow and unfriendly. I love some of the things on their menu and decided to take a chance when we had guests visit from out... More

We joined the wine club at Thornton during Sunday Brunch at Cafe Champagne. The first visit was pretty much the best. We both had their burger which was well prepared and just delicious. Our waitress suggested the chile relleno which was just way too greasy and basically all cheese, we've had better. Over the next 6 months of our membership... More

Cafe Champagne in the Thornton Winery in Temecula is a lovely spot for lunch. It is especially nice to bring someone to the winery who is not familiar with the Temecula area. I entertained a cousin and her husband from Canada. They had no idea that the Temecula area was noted for wine. We began with roasted brussell sprouts and... More

Rude and surly staff. Made reservations online via their website for Christmas day lunch. Arrived on time only to be turned away citing online reservations were not valid! We has biked there from our downtown hotel. The staff made no effort to help us find other places to go on christmas day...it was devastating!

With a vineyard backdrop and a fountain in the background, this makes for a nice place to stop for brunch. The quality of the food is good, the portion sizes are reasonable, and the staff were friendly - ok it's not the cheapest, but we stopped for a birthday brunch and it's a nice memory to take away from Temecula.

Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Really beautiful setting in the courtyard. Wait staff decked out, prompt service. Then the menu. Really expensive bar food. $20 for a hamburger. Lots of stuff on the burger, but it was a dry as a chicken breast. Fries were interesting and pretty good. Wife had a Rueben and Onion rings, same price.... More

This isn't a full review because we only had an appetizer, but it was one of the best baked brie we have ever had! Drizzled with honey & nuts, it was most interesting & very delicious.
