Good food

We dined here with family and friends on a Saturday night. It was packed. Reservations are a must! We love all love this type Japanese cooking. Our meals were great and we left very full. Our chef prepared our meals perfectly although he wasn't the friendliest. Our waitress was attentive and... read more

The most tender NY steak Ive had in quite some time. I'll return just for that! We also had scallops, lobster, shrimp and chicken. It was all good. Good service. Interesting bar drinks that are good but not outstanding.

Our sons and their families took us for our 40th wedding anniversary. I was a little concerned with 5 grandchildren under age 7, but it was a great experience. The food was excellent and well prepared. Of course, there was the usual Shogun entertainment from the chef as he prepared our meals at the grill, which kept the children entertained.... More

Teppanyaki, what a great celebration experience it can be. This was my 4th trip into Shogun and this time instead of the grill experience, we sat in the restaurant. The service from the waitress was very good, however a number of things made the experience undesirable. The porter was not at all concerned with tossing the dishes into the bin... More

My husband and I took our 15 year old granddaughter to Shogun to celebrate her birthday. Having eaten at numerous teppanyaki-style restaurants in cities across the US over the years, this one was a BIG disappointment. Though the food was fine, our chef was as boring as it gets. He was an older man who either spoke limited English or... More

My wife is Japanese and very fussy about where she goes for Japanese food outside of Japan. Shogun was her choice of restaurants on her birthday. She ordered the sushi/sashimi combo. I ordered the shrimp and veggie tempura. Both meals were plentiful and tasty. Food was served quickly and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices were lower than what... More

My wife and I came here with my sister and her boyfriend. It was Friday night and the parking lot looked packed and I wondered how long we would wait. However as soon as we walked in and told them how many people they took us to our seats. That was fast! Turns out there's two dining areas, one where... More

We have been dining at Shogun for years. We have always liked teppan style cooking and Shogun seemed to do a better job at it than other teppan style restaurants. That is until recently. We visited Shogun recently and noticed that the chef seemed disinterested in his task. The food portions were also smaller. They give you less of the... More

This place has great food and puts on a great show. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I thought the prices were reasonable and the service was great.
