We ate lunch inside at Vineyard Rose. The space was huge - sort of like a cross between a ski lodge (with pretty exposed wood beams) and a retirement home. Outdated decor with no ambiance whatsoever. BUT, the glasses of wine were more than generous and the sandwiches were delicious.

South Coast Winery is a gorgeous winery and hotel. The grounds and flowers are spectacular. I have not stayed in the rooms because we live 5 minutes away but I have seen them and the villas in the vineyard are lovely. The restaurant is fantastic. The food is very fresh and wholesome tasting. The corn and clam chowder is exceptional.... More

The cheese plates with the wine option are awesome. The service was great. This was our third time there.

We had our anniversary dinner at the Vineyard Rose. Our waiter, Philippe, was from France and his service was superb, plus he was friendly and knew about every dish. Wine prices were very reasonable. Our pasta dishes were rich and creamy.

This winery actually helps you chose the best wine for your pallet. They are friendly and caring. We bought a case while on this last trip. Will plan to go back in the fall.

We enjoyed a fun tour of the Temecula Wine region with Have Fun Tours which included a stop for lunch. The restaurant was a bit over priced but very pleasant and good food. We sat inside because it was cool and breezy but heard that sitting outside with a view of vines was the way to go.

I have eaten here once. The food, ambiance was not aligned with the high price. There is nothing special about the restaurant.

First class food, wine, and ambiance! Without a doubt, South Coast Winery and Resort is one of California's premier wineries. The Vineyard Rose Restaurant is a delightful portion of this magnificent setting. Having visited many wineries and restaurants in the Napa/Sonoma, I can honestly say that South Coast ranks among the top.

You must treat yourself to Michelin service on a 2 star budget. Kyle, Julio, Maria and others are some of the best wait staffers in the business. I've been there for brunch and dinner and have always come away relaxed and appreciative. Left some of my larger tips after a well-prepared meal and a couple of bottles of South Coast... More
