The pancakes were huge, but it was like trying to eat a box of Bisquick. Sausage were those tiny frozen ones. Nothing special about the coffee, either.

Very little ambience, but this is a casual restaurant known for their hamburgers and sandwiches. Food is really good and is served by friendly waitresses. We were there Saturday for lunch and it was crowded, but our food was served quickly and with no mistakes. Near the Tehachapi Loop.

Good place to go on weekends for breakfast or lunch. Several options for finicky kids, and the historic photos are very interesting.

The waitress was very rude the minute we walked in the door. Left. Went to the 58 restaurant. awesome menu. Friendly waiter. Great experience. Will write a good review for them.

A nice typical american café to stop for a break. Their fruit pie slices are outstanding. For railroad fans, its situated directly opposite the railroad through Tehapchapi and right next door to a model railway shop.

What can I say, I first visited Kelcy's between 40 and 50 years ago and it's still here and still going. That says a lot. Part of the fun are all the "regulars" who eat in the dining room. Choose the dining room and you're eating in a museum, surrounded by all number of photos and artifacts of old Tehachapi.... More

Kelcy's is a "landmark" in Tehachapi. It's been here forever! The food isn't all that good, but it's not bad. Because it's an old place, it could use a remodel and a good cleaning. But it has a good hometown atmosphere and Tehachapi's old timers love it. There are lots of pictures of the big earthquake back in the 50's... More

We stopped at Kelcy's on the way through Tehachapi, our first visit. We ordered the cheeseburger lunch and were pleased with the meal. Much better than fast foot. This is an older place that reminded me of diners I had visited in the 50's. Old furnishings, also older customers. We saw a number of walkers and wheelchairs. We probably won't... More

Kelcy's is outdated and dingy. It was a bit strange walking inside because it was quite dark and uninviting. The service was slow and it took a long time for our mediocre food. I ordered fried chicken which was greasy, tough and not memorable. The meal advertised to have a roll with it so I asked the waitress for one... More
