The food is average Mexican food. Nothing very original but good anyway. I have to say the one thing that really bugs me is the wait staff never smile. The slop the food on the table not caring it the salsa stays in the bowl or not. I thought it was just the one time, but good grief it happened... More

Friendly servers. There is some atmosphere, though they could use a bit more originality. The food is good and authentic. The salsa is "just right". (not so hot it burns your mouth, but plenty of zest) It is an older restaurant and could use a nice redmodel, but it's worth a try, all the same

Unfortunately the cooks do not understand spice. Al pastor was pink dog food type meat and there was some kind of flour based gravy on the burro along with a little cheese and diluted guac. The pepper salsa on 1/3 of the burro was good:) Will not return.

OK here's the deal...they serve delicious, ridiculously underpriced Mexican food because they can. The flautas, mole anything, hue is con chorizo, even their chips and salsa are spot on; they also serve some box white zin poured to the rim for pocket change, not $8 for a half-filled glass that looks high class when all we want on top of... Great salsa & chips. Authentic Homemade Style Mexican Food. Generous portions. The decor is lacking, but we were there for the food, which is excellent.

Man, I hate to give a leukwarm review but Las Palmas was a disappointment to both me and my wife. Both of us, being from Southern California and the Los Angeles Basin in particular, can say we know a thing or two about Mexican food. Even though we are not Hispanic we were practically brought up on it. Las Palmas... More

This is not a fancy restaurant, but you will get good Mexican food here. I particularly like their shredded beef tacos, chile relleno, chunky salsa and refried beans.

Ate there with my family on our way to Sn Francisco. Average service. A bit slow on refilling drinks. Didn't feel all that clean. Food was pretty good and was priced about right. Portions sizes were generous. Tables were cramped pretty close together.

We have stopped in Las Palmas restaurant for years on our trips to Tehachapi for shopping. Today I had the cheese enchilada combo and the albondigas soup and my husband had the flautas combo and a salad. The service was wonderful. It was well worth the trip. We both really enjoyed our meals and this is always our favorite restaurant... More

Had the Chile Relleno and it was pretty good. It came with a salad, rice, and mixed veggies. I avoided the refried beans as they contain lard and I'm vegetarian. The food was average, they made everything there, but none of the vegetables seemed to be fresh (e.g., lettuce, tomatoes). Had flan for dessert which was pretty good.
