I went to the Red House BBQ for a work function. Seating can be a problem if it’s super crowded so go early as possible. Food is good and the prices are not too bad. I order the small pulled pork sandwich which was pretty good and big for a small. It’s not hard to locate, just look for a... More

We stop at Tehachapi once a year, on an RV trip to Bass Lake and back. We have stopped here before but I wanted to re-iterate how GOOD this BBQ really is. I love chicken, and this time I had pulled chicken...it was tender and tasty. My wife had the 1/2 rack of ribs and she couldn't eat them all... More

We ordered and split a meal - too much food for us with a single order! You order at the counter and the waitress brings the food to you. The ribs were tender and had a terrific taste. We ate outside and it was a bit windy to be really comfortable, but that was our own fault - plenty of... More

I'm not a BBQ fan, but I've been to Texas and to South Carolina, so I know how good it can be in the hands of truly demented aficionados. Even a dedicated amateur can reach stellar heights by lucking onto a perfect combo of dry or sauce mix and first quality meat. It's obvious that the chef at Red House... More

If you have the chance to try this place, by all means do. It is lively and loads of fun. The Indian Taco was very good and the portions are plentiful. Definitely the place to try in Tehachapi

My wife and I were on a road trip to Las Vegas from San Jose California and decided to stop and have lunch at the Red House BBQ. It's location was right off Highway 58 and easy to find. My wife had the Cobb Salad with Beef Brisket and I had the Beef Brisket lunch which came with two sides.... More

We took a chance at Red House while driving through Tehachapi. The place was packed at 3pm on a Sunday. The food was fresh, plentiful, and fantastic.

I live in Tehachapi, and eat at the RedHouse often. The best BBQ in the area. Some outdoor seating. Atmosphere is ok, but it's the food I come here for, so I don't care about atmosphere.

Read great reviews and ranked #2 in town at the time of our visit. Hard to believe after our experience. Quality of food is slightly above average. Brisket was a shade over cooked and a bit dry. Sauce tasted like a generic store brand you would only buy once. Red slaw was - well it was red. Cabbage only soaked... More

a great BBQ place is rare. And this is one of them! We thought we would try it, very happy we did. Everything was delicious. Just off the charts good! All the service was excellent. Very friendly and truly kind. This will definitely be a spot we stop at again. They even have teepees in the back for the kids... More
