Every time we drove past Sancho's on our North Lake Tahoe vacation, the delicious smell from Sancho's made our mouth water. We finally made it in for the fish tacos in the midst of a summer downpour. It didn't stop the tacos being served from being the best I've had in a long time. Firm fish, lots of flavor and... More

Given the previous reviews, we had to have the fish tacos and they didn't disappoint. A few jalapeno seeds did sneak into one of our orders unexpectedly so after the flame died down in our mouth we could taste the flavor. Would definitely hit it again for take out.

Love sanchos!!! Excellent food with the best view for reasonable prices. Try their vegitarian nachos, I go about once a week for these!! Heaps of guac, crema, pico, beans, and rice. The best mexican food ive had in tahoe hands down and ive tried them all. The family that runs it is very sweet and always extremely welcoming!!!! Great food, great prices. This is the perfect place to stop for a quick, casual lunch. They have a little outdoor seating area, and they serve beer! I had the fish tacos, and I really enjoyed them. My husband went with the burrito and was not disappointed!

Authentic, friendly, tasty! Crowded at lunch; they can do take out too which is handy for lunch at the beach!

We were looking for a Mexican restaurant in North Tahoe and found this one through Yelp. While the food was good (highly recommend the fish tacos -- they're tasty and HUGE), the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It's very small and feels a bit run down and not that clean. Maybe it would be best taken to go?

This place makes up for in amazing food what it lacks in atmosphere. It's a tiny place but the food is amazing. I had the best Camaranoes al Diablo that I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). Service is friendly too!

We recieved our meal half cooked with styrofoam attached to the food. it was disgusting . The place is falling apart and is filthy. The landlord should be cited and the place closed down. It is a disgrace

Authentic mexican food. While you wait you can watch soap operas in Spanish and enjoy the fun funky atmosphere. Always a favorite we return once or twice every summer.

We really enjoyed grabbing a cheap taco here when this place was owned by the original owner. However, it changed hands a few years ago, and has gone downhill somewhat since. First off, the place is pretty grubby / dirty now. The food used to be excellent (for what it was, an inexpensive taco stand), but now the food is... More
